QB wins and loses can be deceiving. Anyone watching games would know Mac Jones was never as good as "his" 2021 record indicated. Drake Maye is certainly not as bad as the record indicates.

It was a withholding judgement / give it time to grow thing with me but enough is enough. A peewee coach would have adjusted and taken what TN was giving over the middle. The lack of adjustment in the playcalling was inexcusable f'n offensive malpractice, Jete level incompetence.

You get a true #1 receiver and a top tackle, you are putting up a lot of points, and those teams are always in playoff contention. Offense wins.

You can win a SB with those guys, but probably not a dynasty. I’m not convinced he’s actually a gunslinger though, he is just pressing playing “hero ball” because the team is so bad and getting pushed into being one. On a good team he would be making generally smarter or safer plays more often.

Yeah... 5.15 YPA doesn't smell like gunslinger to me... or maybe it should!

Not a chance in hell IMHO that The Scatback and The Nebbish can Mayo after 1 season. Remember it’s about The Scatback’s HOF campaign and proving to his “friends” how “enlightened and perceptive” they are.

It certainly is a good question and we damn right well deserve an explanation.

For Mayo's sake, he better.

I was one of Mac's biggest critics which was met with resistance (of course), but he was on some pretty bad teams and took all the blame. I'm going to give Maye the same benefit of the doubt as his team is also atrocious. However, not being able to beat bad teams is not exactly a good look.

If the Pats don't draft well to surround him with talent, he won't have much success here either.
