Absolutely, that is where the team needs to improve. Doesn't do any good to have a great receiver if you can't protect and can't stop the run.

I'm most worried about 2 things.

1. No free safety on this team.

2. AVP. The announcers talked about the Titans sending LBs into the lanes and attacking our OL. You're telling me we don't have a RB leaking out or a WR in the slot sitting just past where their LBs attack?

It took them until the last drive and OT to figure that out, as finally Rham leaked out of the backfield.

When they are attacking your OL with no fear, you counter that by taking advantage of the space they vacate.

2 years ago Rham caught a million passes.

Hey AVP, what is the counter for the Titans abandoning the space 5 yards in the middle?

Instead you dial up only throws on the boundary or else WR screens.

This is just a badly designed offense.

The sad thing is that’s not even rocket science. These guys are paid to figure out the mismatches and they have been around this game most of their lives. They need a Dion Lewis type 3rd down back to put the defense in check. Sammy Cat like quickness and a couple 20-30 yard gains changes how the defense approaches real quick.

We missed on Ladd McConkey that's going to haunt us for years. Pop Douglas is meh not a Big time player. This Team Needs a lot we have very little after Maye this Rebuild will be a while.

Double checked on Spoctrac, 18M for Dugger, 13M for Godchaux.

I don’t think that’s right at all. They’ve already paid the signing bonus prorations this year so all we care about is the prorations for the remaining years which all hit the cap in 2025. I believe that’s about $13M for Dugger and maybe $7M or so for Godchaux. Salary doesn’t matter as that will be paid by the new team.

I’m fully in the “win games” camp until the last 4 or so games. I can’t be bothered to watch games hoping they lose any longer than that.
