Good to see. Kid's become a solid a player and a great asset to this team:

I mean, I am of two minds. Firstly, he seems to be ascending and plays the position with intensity and production. But then, you ask yourself : NE really giving over 3.5M$ in guarantees to a guy who’s job - that wasn’t super important in the grand scheme - is becoming less and less important as rules change each year ?

While I like the effort and the production, I question this amount for this position. Could 3M$ more have convinced Judon to return and set the edge ? Or go team opposite White and be 2-3 or maybe even 3-2 ?

Asking out loud.

Cheap money. Good signing imo. 53 roster spot. they cant all be edge rushers or linebackers,,, need role players and depth pieces too... including special teamers

Good player, probably the type of player you’d like to see more around these parts nowadays.

Building the middle class. Yes "only" a special teams player but a role player on defense on occasion. Thoroughly, trained in the intangibles that Matt Slater brings.

I'm all for this.

They can’t be bothered with trying to sign the best available Center with starting experience so the kid doesn’t have to stand behind Leverett Saltonstall, a truly ****ing AWFUL player, yet they can be with extending a Special ****ing olympics Teamer?

****ing clowns.

Meet the New boss; same as the Old boss.

My only concern with Schooler was that he had a knack for the random stupid play last year. Seems like he’s totally cleaned that up this year and has basically replaced Slater completely. Looks like a stud. 100% worth the price tag.

We have always had an excellent gunner ... he continues the tradition here.

When your team really really sucks, it's probably not important, but this was 1 of maybe 4 plays last game where I got f'ing excited. This isn't a one-off play from him, either. Plus, if Coach Slater gives the seal of approval, then I am alllllll for it.

They are sitting in $40 mill. The alternative to spending $3 mill on him was Kraft keeping the money in the bank.

Difficult to fathom how signing this guy to chump change could warrant discussion on Early Edition this evening. But, then again, we're talking about a show anchored by a dimwit...

Gets it done on the field more than most on this team and also gets it done off the field as this year’s Ron Burton award winner. Great guy to have around for a team trying to build towards reclaiming a winning mindset. Keep the winners, shed the losers. Well worth it at a max pay over 3 years at 10.5 mill. For reference, Isaiah Wynn got about that much in 2022 alone for going through the motions for 7 starts at RT, getting injured, then eating Cheetos at home the rest of the year on IR.

Okorafor got $4M. Relative to Okorafor, Schooler's contract is a steal. Depends on perspective......
