They were being nice.Perhaps we should sign Cam Fleming. He has only been an OT, formerly for us I think.
Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing. It might concern you that no one else had problems understanding my post.
1) For who?My immediate priorities on the OL
1) Bench ROBINSON. He is spectacularly bad on passing downs. He could get the QB injured. I wouldn't even have him active, unless we want him as the 6th Ol in jumbo set. We have lots of guards that are not liabilities at RG. Obviously, Onwenu is the best option.
2) ASAP, find out whether WALLACE can play RT in the NFL. Start him for a few games. If that doesn't work, we would need to move Onwenu back to RT for the remainder of the year.

This season is about evaluation. We now know a lot about Robinson. Now we need to know more about Wallace.
1) Sow or Jordan (or Onwenu if we play Wallace at RT)1) For who?
2) He can't play LT. I'm not sure RT will be much better.
for what QB?Straight up, if we are in the top 3 again, The Pats should get a king's ransom from a QB-needy team.
Wallace started at LT as a freshman.Something that has been bothering me since the Belichick days is this dancing chairs in the OL, they draft players from a position trying to fill others, it's nice to have some flexibility but the guy played a position in college (and probably before that) for a reason, are they trying to be the smartest people in the room assuming college coaches don't know sh.it?
Then they give Owmenu a payday and have to put him at tackle to justify that? Weakening the whole right side that was less a concern compared to left. Guards get paid too in these days, if he was worth the new contract pay him to play RG and solidify that position, and then, WTF you draft a RG only player in the draft right after that?
How about this advice, draft a RG to play RG. If you already have one, this is a waste of a draft pick. Draft a RT to play RT, if somehow 2 or 3 years down the road he develops some skills to play at left, then that's a nice to have but don't count on that, draft LTs to play on the left.
Let Lowe, Jacobs, Jones and Thomas fight to be the worst starting LT in the NFL.
There will be risers by the time the combine ends. Nobody thought all of those QBs would have been drafted in rd1 of this past draft. The Giants and Raiders still need a QB and will probably win too many games to draft high enoughfor what QB?
The top guys were really pinned as top players long before the season. Penix and Nix were risers but I don't think they have much value in trading upThere will be risers by the time the combine ends. Sometimes you don’t have to be the smartest guy in the room to recognize that where a prospect played in college wasn’t about him it was about where his coach had a hole in the roster that he needed to fill. It might not be what the player was best at, but he was the best option available to fill that hole. In fact, doesn’t that sound like what the Pats have been trying to do, fill holes with players who aren’t really good fits but are the least bad of available options?Something that has been bothering me since the Belichick days is this dancing chairs in the OL, they draft players from a position trying to fill others, it's nice to have some flexibility but the guy played a position in college (and probably before that) for a reason, are they trying to be the smartest people in the room assuming college coaches don't know sh.it?
Sow is injured and Jordan is already playing LG.1) Sow or Jordan (or Onwenu if we play Wallace at RT)
2) Wallace has played years as a top-quality RT and has had no experience at LT. So, I think Wallace was a reasonable draftee as a RT prospect. We have Wallace on the team for 3 years. We need to evaluate whether he is a starting RT. If so, Onwenu can move to RG.
We have learned that Wallace can't play LT, so he shouldn't be considered for the role of swing OT.
The difference evaluation is huge. If he is a solid starting RT, either this year or next, this was a very successful pick. If he is at beast a backup RT, the pick was essentially a failure.
And the NFL is different than collegeSometimes you don’t have to be the smartest guy in the room to recognize that where a prospect played in college wasn’t about him it was about where his coach had a hole in the roster that he needed to fill. It might not be what the player was best at, but he was the best option available to fill that hole. Not all players can manage the footwork on both sides of the line some are just better at one than the other.Sow is injured and Jordan is already playing LG.
If Wallace can’t pass block at an NFL caliber why would that be different at RT?
Yiu say he has been a RT his entire life, then give up on him after 1 game at LT when frankly he was probably better than anyone ever played there this year for most of the game.
Where is this embarrassment of riches on the bench that causes you to give up in your highest drafted OL after 1 game?
We will still be in QB draftpick territory with a QB, and teams will want to move up. JJ shot up the moon for the draft too and we already know the Giants tried to move up this year. If we draft ahead of the Giants, they will have to talk to us to ensure they get a QBThe top guys were really pinned as top players long before the season. Penix and Nix were risers but I don't think they have much value in trading up
