Why would that be Bob's worst nightmare?
Bob's decision making has come back to haunt him. It started with Parcells, Curtis Martin, Brady and could possibly be Bill. If Bill coached a contender, he would win just like Brady did. Bob doesn't like looking bad and will take it out on someone if this happens.

As a proud homer i went into preseason thinking we had a chance to really suprise and maybe even finish above .500. Now i see it right around where we were last year as far as win total.

Barmore out is huge. Judon getting shipped out also is huge . Without those 2 i just don’t see enough playmaking ability in this d, though they are still a solid bunch i don’t see them stealing many games for us.

The OL additions have not impressed to this point. You were hoping one or two would give you some faith they can hold it down for us but it looks a mess still. Cant even line up right. Strange may not be able to help this year. Wallace and Robinson dont look like they can help just yet. Neither does Baker at wr after all his hype but i feel like all have some some promise to eventually. Hard to even get excited about our run game, under normal circumstances rham is a stud but he may go to waste this year. OL should be our biggest priority next year.

Brissett honestly couldn’t have looked worse so far. Im really worried about qb play i knew he wouldn’t light it up but i thought hed be a safe bet to at least be an 85-90 rtg and manage us to a decent amount of wins. Offense looks completely anemic with his accuracy issues and inability to find open guys.

I think the overall talent defensively still puts us in shape to pull out 4 or 5 wins but thats about it unfortunately. Hope to be pleasantly suprised!

I had us at 7 wins before Barmore's diagnosis, the Judon trade, and the OL looking like a worst case scenario.

I'm still holding out hope that Maye starts after the bye, wins a couple of games, and knocks Buffalo out week 18.

3-5 wins.

Super Bowl - Packers over Jets

Mark it Dude.

Puts them at 8 wins, and an 8-9 record.

Playoff picture:

NFC game winners, Week 1: SF over Dallas, Tampa over Philly, GB over Atlanta
AFC game winners, Week 1: NE over Cincinnati in a rematch from week 1?!?, Miami over KC, Baltimore over LAC

AFC game winners, Week 2: Houston over NE, Baltimore over Miami

NFCCG: Detroit over Green Bay
AFCCG: Baltimore over Houston

Super Bowl: Detroit over Baltimore

You don't have to take my playoff predictions seriously (although it is totally possible) but I am serious about predicting around 8 wins.

I went with the 6-8 option. If the defense looks like it did last year and the offense looks competent (ranked between #18 to #24), they should be able to get to 6 wins. That’s my most likely scenario. If the rookies continue to impress and Scott Peters turns out to be a great Oline coach and can get his unit to outperform their talent level (like Scarnecchia did), this team should be able to get to 8-9 wins and be in the mix for a wildcard spot.

Under my scenario, they'll be 8-6 with 3 to play. That might be crazy talk. Oh well, fun to dream. I do believe they'll have a hot streak, honeymoon phase at some point this season though.

In the blurb I put in my post, they'd be 6-9 coming off the loss to Buffalo, then win against the Chargers and have their second match against Buffalo at home become a "win and you're in" scenario to either make it into the 7th seed at 8-9 (and knock out Buffalo) or finish 7-10 and give Buffalo the 7th seed.

Fun to think about. Probably will not happen. Damn near happened in 2022 didn't it?

Pats: 5 wins

AFC Champ: Baltimore
NFC Champ: San Fran

Superbowl Champ; San Fran

I did some more thinking and im changing my prediction to 13-4

I'm a homer but man-oh-man, I just don't see where the wins come from -- I went 0-2. I had some optimism before the preseason but Barmore out, Judon traded, the ****show at left tackle, and watching the Redskins preseason game, and I lost my nerve, haha. Oh, and we have a killer schedule.I still love the team and think we're on the right track for rebuilding.
