I don't think the players care if was drafted here or not.Judon was not home grown.
His trade re-inforced the messaging.
Complain and become a distraction and you are gone.
Basides, Judon was taken care of last year and got big money from the team as FA.
I guess it depends on what you mean by "very slowly." Drake is going to get a year holding the clipboard, but it's fully expected he will be the guy in 2025. Once he is, I hope they've built some semblance of a team around him as opposed to expecting him to be the savior.Agree. Sacks are the topic as that is what the poster focuses on.
I don't think Judon is a great edge-setter/run defender but his value in disrupting the passing game more than makes up for it.
Well, the rebuild plan is to establish a different team culture, bring along a rookie QB very slowly. Lock up the young veterans to long-term deals and add talent where they need it.
No but my point is he got his money. A player who hasn't been paid couldn't care less about the contract squabble of a player who has.I don't think the players care if was drafted here or not.
The 10+ extensions doled out this offseason ruin your arguementI think the message that is getting reinforced is that it's hard for the teams best players to get paid by the Krafts.
Players will always complain about their contracts. This won't stop other players from complaining if they think they are underpaid too if anything the opposite.
Players know when they get old, injured and don't perform they are vulnerableAnd they don't won't remember the details if when Judon got paid before all they see is management trading a very good player for a mid round pick.
My original point was that by trading Judon they wipe away any goodwill that might have been forged by those extensions. No but my point is he got his money. A player who hasn't been paid couldn't care less about the contract squabble of a player who has.

Nobody wants to extend him coming off an injury. He's either going to suck and fumble the bag or play like a stud and hold somebody hostage for a contract so they can hold their breath that his decline isn't immediate. Now rumor is that atl won’t be extending him…whaaaa
The team's best players have been getting paid by the Kraft's. In fact, many on here complained how many of them were paid by the Kraft's. The "I am mad at the new regime because Bill got fired" crowd is so all over the place. One of you is mad we literally didn't sign 70 free agents. Others are mad that we retained so many guys from last year's team even though they're Bill Belichick picks. Now it seems that that group is mad that we didn't sign a 32 year old to big money who was already causing a distraction.I don't think the players care if was drafted here or not.

Maybe a bit extreme but I'm not happy so forgive my hyperboleI think that's a bit too extreme. Judon was not the only player in that locker room that other players liked. Also, while he may have been their best player, he wasn't the only really good player, and others (like Barmore, Dugger, Stevenson, and Peppers) got their deals. If failing to re-up one player is enough to sour a locker room on you, there's not a team in the league that wouldn't have that reputation.
We're all allowed our own opinions right or am I supposed to conference with the people you've labeled team BillThe team's best players have been getting paid by the Kraft's. It seems that much of the anger is that the team did not properly address OT. The team will be right on track if the OL settles down a bit. Otherwise it will be a very long year. The team's best players have been getting paid by the Kraft's. In fact, many on here complained how many of them were paid by the Kraft's. 4 of 5 were toast and the other (Randy) regretted it. Judon, we'll see. Given how engaged he was with the team and fans, he certainly got a kick in the ass on the way out.
Not adequately addressing the tackle spot after it being basically ignored last year is a legitimate gripe. Ideally we would have gone tackle in round 2 but I assume it has to be top priority next year.It seems that much of the anger is that the team did not properly address OT. The team will be right on track if the OL settles down a bit. Otherwise it will be a very long year.
Everyone is allowed to think what you want and I won't get mad at anyone for not being happy we traded our best player. My posts were in response to you claiming the players in the locker room will neglect the money paid out to the rest of their teammates because a 32 year old malcontent, to some extent, forced their hand and got traded. We're all allowed our own opinions right or am I supposed to conference with the people you've labeled team Bill
Ive never really known what that meant anyway since I was always team TB12 too. I tend to like the coaches and players who perform well when they are here so forgive me if I like Bill, Brady, and Judon.
You can be the leader of team save money if you want. I'm not on that team.
Do you think they are happy with Wolfe today?Everyone is allowed to think what you want and I won't get mad at anyone for not being happy we traded our best player. As a whole, yes.Do you think they are happy with Wolfe today?
Yeah if the OL was looking good, if Maye was beating out Jacoby, if Barmore was back, and/or some combination then this would be much easier to handle. But the cumulative effect is frustrating and the season hasn't even started. It seems that much of the anger is that the team did not properly address OT. The team will be right on track if the OL settles down a bit. Otherwise it will be a very long year.
