It's happening! Maybe.

As long as it's not a first round pick in 2025 I'm good with it.

We can't be trading a top 5 pick for this guy and giving him what probably amounts to the highest contract ever for a WR.

Here's what interests me in this Aiyuk trade story:

"Possible destinations include the Steelers, Commanders, Browns, and Patriots. The challenge will be striking a deal that gives the 49ers value in 2024, and not just one or more draft picks for 2025."

So a 2025 2nd, JJSS and a 2026 5th for Aiyuk? Who's good with that?
I think it would be Bourne, at least that is who I would want if I'm SF.

I don’t know if I love giving Bourne with a second and say fourth or fifth,
Bourne could have a good year. For me it’s Ju Ju if they wait the 2.

A wr corps of Aiyuk? Douglas, Baker, Polk, Thornton, Osborne. This knocks Reagor off the roster as well as Boutte. I really don’t know if Aiyuk is that much better. But we’ve been after him so we must highly value him.

It really doesn’t matter though cause if the Browns are offering Cooper that’s a much better trade.

Aiyuk wants to have his cake and eat it too.

Someone needs to tell him he can either have the money OR play for a competitor. Pick one. If he wants the money, NE and Cleveland are (reportedly) his options. If he wants to play for a competitor then STFU and stay where you are.

Didn’t CLE just redo his contact and give him more money?

2025 2nd, bourne, and a late round pick is my guess that they agreed to. Its all on Aiyuk! Knowing our luck, he's going to Cleveland.

I wonder if this has been in the works for a while and is actually what’s stalling Judon’s contract extension? probably don’t want to extend Judon until you know what you have to pay Aiyuk… the Judon contract issue is too strange for it just to be about money.

Regardless, I promised myself I’m not going to get excited about this…

I don’t think the Judon issue has anything to do with this. They have plenty money this and next year to pay both players.

The Browns were an 11-win playoff team. Not exactly chopped liver, so they do seem like a decent compromise while still getting paid.

You can merge with other thread if you must but feel like this is huge news to get buried in the Aiyuk thread
