I may have to disagree. If/when the Pats beat the Jest I think they will drop out of top 5 due to SOS (which is VERY close right now).

Edit: I hope you are right and that those results will net us a top 5 pick.

If the season wasn't horrible enough, Bill will find a way to take us out of draft range to get Daniels without having to give up picks to trade up to get him.

As long as we don't drop below both the Titans and Giants we should have a chance at one of the 3 QB's. Problem is it'll be the third of three rather than us in the driving seat for our top pick.

I’ll admit I don’t watch any college ball and I am basing this off watching 20 mins of highlights which is a big part of why CFB is unwatchable for me, it’s too easy to have a wide open guy for a 50 yard TD, and that just doesn’t impress me. So film that is just long TD after long TD is actually a red flag to me when evaluating QB play. It means they can’t play at the NFL level cuz that just doesn’t happen. So Williams is a guy I want no part of, too much freeballing running around hitting off timed throws. I see Johnny Menzel written all over him, hell of an arm but doesn’t play QB the right way. Maybe he will take the league by storm his rookie year but once there is a bunch of film on him, he is going to be figured out and mediocre the rest of his short career. IMO of course.

Maye on the other hand has a bunch of throws with a guy in his face, hitting a covered target, in just the right spot so only his guy can get it. You know, NFL throws. It’s not nearly as pretty or exciting but it looks a hell of a lot more translatable and I expect him to be at minimum a top 15ish QB for the next 10-15 years. Obviously even the most pro ready QBs can bust, and after last night the pats probably are no longer in a place to get him, but I would take Maye in a heart beat and be excited about his future.

I recall seeing a fairly realistic breakdown that has us no worse than 5th, even if we beat both. I can live with that.

Of course, losing to the Bills will be, at worst, bittersweet if we've got the 4th as our floor.
