Without the fans the whole thing ceases to exist.

And the blame could be on the fans. Its OUR fault. Football is a business. If fans are going to keep showing up and support getting served ****, then ownership will probably continue serving them profitable **** etc.. When the stadium is empty there will be changes.

That is basically my point. That being said I don't think we're anywhere near that point but I won't fault someone who doesn't want to shell out their hard earned money just to be let down year in year out.

I seriously doubt Kraft overruled Belichick. I think that would be a bridge too far for Belichick if the owner was building the team against his will. And after what happened with Parcells, Kraft pretty much vowed he would never force his head coach to draft a player ever again.
I have no proof other than just whispers that BB "collaborated" with his staff at the time like McDaniels, Ziegler etc. Frankly, I'm letting off some steam bc Im one of the few who likes Cam and wishes he got to start in 2021.

To be honest, no one cares how you view this site. People come on here to vent, to learn, to discuss, to get updates, etc. You aren't the gatekeeper of what gets to be said here unless you want to buy the site off of Ian. Also what does your whining about the "whining" accomplish?

What amount of "down time" do you consider acceptable? So far we are in year 4 of a "rebuild" and we look like a worse team than we were the last 2 years. I think for a lot of people on here we wouldn't be so impatient this season if it looked like we were building to something but we are going in reverse. The offense has scored less points each week than the last and the defense isn't fairing well through all the injuries and now on top of being blown out yesterday our two best players are now going to miss an extended amount of time at positions we're already thin at. Can't really see much reason for optimism right now.
You care, because you asked me.
And I answered.

Why would I consider something “acceptable”. Hue do I not “accept it”
I have no control over what the team does, so my only act of non acceptance would be to quit on the team. I will never do that.

Growth of a team is not always linear. Pretty much every team in the league has had stretches as bad or worse for as long or longer.

At some point you just have to be an adult and recognize that the 1 team of 32 that you chose to root for will have periods where they are not so good. Ride it out and hope for the best
I mean are you like this about everything in your life? Every time something doesn’t work out do you freak out and find people to blame, criticize and insult? Life is too short.

I always swear I won't get pulled into an argument with you and you still find ways to get me.

You are joking right?

If I am to understand this correctly you believe there is a conspiracy by the patriots to ignite their fans and not try to win. So if you boycott the team then they will decide to try harder?

You realize that the jets, browns, cardinals and all the other historical losing franchises exist right?

I’m not arguing, but perhaps you should open your mind.

1. Does it look like I am joking

And B, how did you take what I said and turn it into me stating that the Pats are involved in a conspiracy to ignite fans.

What I stated is pretty much accepted gospel for any business. If you put out a product and its good, customers will come. If you put out a bad product and customers still come, then its likely the business wont change too much. Subsequently, if you put out a bad product and people dont come, then maybe a change is needed.

Would it be easier in Japanese? Here it is:

Here it is in Japanese phonetically if your Japanese is rusty. I know mine is.

Sadly then you aren’t joking.

To suggest that fans griping would cause the team to improve is literally suggesting there is a conspiracy to not do their best.

Feel free to treat competitive sports like a fungible good and buy a different brand if you don’t like this one.
I have been pleased with this brand for many years and instead of being a spoiled child when they have down times, I will stick with this brand.

Ok, I'll try this. Just humor me.

When the team is doing well, is it likely that more or less tickets/food/merch will be sold?
Is selling more tickets/food/merch better for profit?
Is selling less tickets/food/merch worse for profit?

The fans "griping" won't do anything.

The fans not going to games to the point there are empty seats, not buying merch, etc. -- that can make things happen.

Someone here is telling me that is not the case.

Steal his booster seat. Demonstrate we mean business.

What does any of that have to do with complaining?
You are building this argument on the assumption they can win more but just choose not to.

Brady wanted a contract extension in 2017 following 28-3. We know this. He didn’t get one.

Brady wanted a contract extension in 2018 following Super Bowl 52, which by the way occurred AFTER both Jimmy G and Jacoby were gone. We know this. He didn’t get one. Instead he was offered a year of INCENTIVES. Meanwhile Belichick tried to TRADE GRONK TO THE LIONS (and first year head coach and BUDDY Matty P) until Brady essentially threatened to demand a trade too.

Brady wanted a contract extension in 2019 following Super Bowl 53 when Brian Hoyer was the only other QB on the roster. We know this. He didn’t get one. At this point that summer Brady finally realized he was never getting a new contract and began looking elsewhere.

Belichick completely blew it and has now been exposed as a fraud.
Bills record without Brady speaks for itself....it's Lovie Smith

Change what?

How had this plan worked out for the historically bad franchises?
Do you mean if Jet fans stayed away it would force them to become a dynasty?

What does any of that have to do with complaining?

Complaining wont change anything

People not going to the game will. You dont think it will. Ok thats fine

You don't know if the Patriots wouldn't spend with a new GM and head coach. It would put a lot of the argument to rest whether the lack of money spent in recent years is due to the Krafts being cheap or Belichick not wanting to spend on talent.

I gotta think with all the renovations the Pats are doing to Gillette that aren't really necessary and are really expensive like the new jumbotron the lighthouse, that the Krafts aren't afraid to spend to make the team a winner.
I know I don’t know. That’s why I said I don’t think. My line of thinking isn’t coming from the belief that Kraft is cheap. It’s just that he has watched BB do it in a fiscally conservative and responsible way for years and keep the seats filled. Who knows though? Maybe he thinks it was all Brady and he has to win NOW?! It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Explain this one to me.
How does the team owe you? You chose them they didn’t chose you.
No. The owner of the business works to create a product in the hopes that the customer will in fact choose them. You know this. Come on man.
