Two reasons for the pressure:

1. OLine was not good. That’s pretty obvious. Not a lot you can do about it right now.

2. Teams will blitz more and be more aggressive with pass rush when your longest passing play for most of the game is 12 yards. That’s due to a quarterback who can’t make dagger throws and no elite playmaker.

Tom Brady
Bingo - you just made my point. I get you're upset, but he was a once in a generation player. Be glad that all of us got to enjoy it together

But it is what it is. They'll be a better team by the end of the year. The only question is, how much better and whether or not they have the horses to be in the mix by December.

How did he blow it in the draft?
You're giving up on Mafi, Sow and Andrews?

Yes. They were bottom shelf talents. And they've played like it. I haven't seen any evidence as of late that Belichick knows how to draft OL. Who is the last reach at OL he's gotten right?

Tonight also further established the importance of both Demario Douglas and Tyquan Thornton. When Kendrick Bourne is your fastest receiver on the field it just isn’t going to cut it.

Douglas being benched was infuriating. And we need to get Thornton on the field to see if he can get some separation for us. Parker and JuJu are fine receivers but they are possession guys. We are throwing multiple screens to JuJu. What is going through Bill O’Brien’s head with that? Those are Matt Patricia plays.
Douglas made a stupid rookie mistake....that cost the team points at a critical point in the game. He had to be benched to school him up for the rest of the season

We are super lucky we are playing them without Rodgers. Can you imagine reaction to 0-3 or 0-4?
They definitely caught a break. Along with the fact the rest of the Conference is struggling.

Tom Brady
Brady went without good receivers several years in his career, one year where Reche Bugeyes Caldwell (R.I.P.) was his #1 WR. -But then again not one guy in this room will be alive when the next Tom Brady-type enters the prime of his career

There hasn't been a better option. It is what it is. All you can do is pick from whoever the best option is to pick from and stack talent around him. But if you can't protect him and you don't have explosive players, I don't know how anyone can have any real expectations beyond what we've seen.

I think most people agree that if you ship Mac to San Francisco with those players and Shanahan's offense, he's probably more productive than he's been here. This is why I get the personnel frustration, but not the ones who act like they missed out on someone else at QB when that isn't the case.

I think Belichick has a strong preference for high floor, low ceiling QBs, steady eddies, much like Parcells thinking. Problem is you simply can’t build the type of dominant defenses and power running games to support that game manager any more.

Bingo.

They need a GM and a new coach.
Also need a new o-line coach.
I don't know about that. I put Scar in the Tom Brady category. He's a once in a generation coach. Klemm is only going to be as good with whoever he has to work with. And there's still time for that to get better, but no one will ever be Scar.

If they lose next week, it’s going to be a long year.

This. If ever there's a "get right" team - I feel like coming off an 0-2 start, they'll be ready to go next weekend.
You do not want to see the Pats OL against Jets front 7 right? It won't be pretty

Onwenu isn't bad.

I'm just amazed that 2 games in you've determined that Mafi and Sow stink. Bottom shelf talents? They were slated to go in the rounds that they went. You act like they weren't high on the lists of available draftees. Those that followed the draft knew that these 2 guys were mid round graded players.

The question is will december be too late for this team, even when this team got better as the winter approached they were always at or near the .500 mark - down 0-2 there is a beginning to wonder if they can ever reach .500 before snow begins to fall

Got the makings of a 14-10 game written all over it - I do think though that our RBs are about equal to the Jets in terms of talent
I could see 24-20 or 17-14....the O/U line should be about 35

Mac throws off his back foot all the time, has horrible form, gets jittery, is inaccurate, etc.

If there are truly people here who wouldn't take Tua over Mac, I think you need to reevaluate what good QB play is.

At the end of games, when teams are throwing the kitchen sink at you, he fails. He takes horrible sacks. He just does not look the part. And better WRs aren't going to help him in these crucial sitautions.

I never once said Mac over Tua, that's first of all. I stated he actually had a better QB rating than Tua w weapons in this game.

I also acknowledge his bad throws but there were plenty of good plays he made today while being rushed as well.

And he actually did make a pretty good throw off his back foot late in this game....

I seen him 2 times now so far come back from playing like crap. That was last week.

And moved the team late in today's game twice.

He's not Zac Wilson...if u wanna compare QBs.

Would u rather Z.Wilson or Mac?

I am not saying Mac is our future QB, but blaming the dude for everything and never talking about other factors at all is wild to me, and just a cheap hot take that is gonna keep being brought up the minute the kid as much as trips on a play.

0-2 is a massive hole. the goal is win the division, you're down 2 games to the leader. it's going to take 10 wins minimum to take the AFC east. So for the Pats to have a legit shot they need to go 8-5...I don't think they have it in them, especially after scoring 17 and 20 points on their home field

Not without bringing in a game-changer on offense. I mean, even Brady went a decade in between championships due to a lack of talent. It wasn't until Gronkowski and Edelman (Gronk obviously being the key component) that they finally broke through again. And they certainly don't have an equivalent, or at least not that we can tell at this point.

Tua 4-0 vs Bill the Coach
