Not sure why people are so mad or shocked at how this team is playing so far. They lack serious talent almost everywhere on offense and their defense is not good enough to shut any good offense down. In fact, no defense is.

It’s weird seeing Bill getting more animated on the sidelines as each season goes by because the games aren’t going the way they used to. This board would laugh at the opposing team’s coaches complaining to refs on calls not going their way.
Because he knows time is running out. Hell he even dresses better now lol. Soon he will start being nice to reporters.

Got the makings of a 14-10 game written all over it - I do think though that our RBs are about equal to the Jets in terms of talent
Garrett Wilson or Breece Hall are much more likely to make a gamebreaking play in a tight game than the Patriots weapons, we're relying on Zach Wilson losing the game (which will be the most likely outcome) if you told me there was no turnovers in the game then the Jets probably win.

The last few drafts?

Just last week the announcers were talking about how the Patriots ranked 2nd in the league in terms of players from the last 3 drafts.
2nd in the league at what? Bad drafts or good drafts?

Belichick failed to address the OL way too long, this OL has not been good since Scarnecchia retired and its a combo of talent and coaching as Dante was a HOF OLC - No time to thorw and no open lanes to run = a losing team

I think someone said it best, you don't understand one bit what you are watching and it's evident everytime you go on "it's Mac's fault" rant..he definitely made some bad plays but your QB is not accounted for bad line play or wide outs who just can't make those special plays..

Again Mac has made some horrible throws but he actually had a better QB rating than Tua who has better players on his side of the ball and the last two drives by him(Mac) where pretty decent had the line held up for him a little more when it needs to count...
Mac throws off his back foot all the time, has horrible form, gets jittery, is inaccurate, etc.

If there are truly people here who wouldn't take Tua over Mac, I think you need to reevaluate what good QB play is.

At the end of games, when teams are throwing the kitchen sink at you, he fails. He takes horrible sacks. He just does not look the part. And better WRs aren't going to help him in these crucial sitautions.

bill is so condescending

1nd most talent procured in the last 3 drafts. The Eagles and Patriots have had the best drafts in the last 3 yrs.

??

Has any team expended more resources on OL than the Patriots?

Seems he's tried to address it.

But the injuries are here for us to see.

This. If ever there's a "get right" team - I feel like coming off an 0-2 start, they'll be ready to go next weekend.
We are super lucky we are playing them without Rodgers. Can you imagine reaction to 0-3 or 0-4?

I honestly have no idea how good Mac is or isn't.

He's on coordinator #3 in 3 seasons.

He had the worst offensive coaching seasons in history in his second.

The offensive line is bottom of the barrel to the point they have to call quick plays to hide their inadequacy.

So, who is Mac Jones? I have no clue.

And THAT is the real problem.
That is a lot of excuses for MAC. No doubt contributing to the inconsistencies, but I am not seeing elite skills even when he has time to throw and the receivers are open. He does not pass the eye test.

Miami went out and got those guys...signed and drafted....by comparison the Patriots GM drafted Tyquan Thornton and signed Juju Smith Schuster....big effing difference
my point is Tua got the keys to the lamborghini - Mac has a bad OL and receivers that would not crack #1 or #2 on any team in the league, with that being said Mac is medicore talent and that leads to a poor offense

My problem isn’t their record. I just don’t understand why a team that really isn’t a contender is building around guys like JSS, Devante Parker etc. They’re not a young, trending upward team. It’s time to face reality about Mac. Since Brady left they haven’t come up with anything particularly inspiring to address the most important piece.
There hasn't been a better option. It is what it is. All you can do is pick from whoever the best option is to pick from and stack talent around him. But if you can't protect him and you don't have explosive players, I don't know how anyone can have any real expectations beyond what we've seen.

I think most people agree that if you ship Mac to San Francisco with those players and Shanahan's offense, he's probably more productive than he's been here. This is why I get the personnel frustration, but not the ones who act like they missed out on someone else at QB when that isn't the case.

Please name one QB who can win games without a weapon . And then let's talk about Mac .

Gesicki couldn't out muscle a defender to get 2 yards . Our YAC sucks. Our running game was non existent and the easiest punching bag is Mac because he doesn't make the Mahomey throws..

Tbh he has some great throws today. Get Mac some weapons and we can evaluate. Right now he is handicapped for talent who can make those plays. Made 1 boneheaded play but there were at least 5-6 terrific throws . Tua was virtually untouched and his receivers got open in 1.5 seconds. Our receivers take more than 3 seconds to cross line of scrimmage .
Tom Brady

This is what I noticed from day 1. He panics in the face of pressure.

No. You're comparing him to Brady, which is a benchmark no one - with this level of talent - is ever going to live up to.
