Jet fans are saying that its a torn Achilles.

They claim that you can see it pop when Rodgers goes down.
So he's done. That sucks. I'll miss ragging on him.

Oh, there's this too. No caption needed.

Tough times for sure.
My friend who is a Jete fan is devastated.
He actively rooted against the Pats during the Seattle Super Bowl party I hosted.
Feck the Jete
They still won the damn game btw.

Got to love the list of "celebrities" that are showing up for the game. Jake Paul, Edie Falco and Method Man are going to be there. Don't forget to bring your autograph book!!!

For their sakes I hope they were late.

I bet the Jets are regretting not completing the tank job in 2020. They’d have 23-year-old Lawrence back there.

After seeing the list below I am glad Zappe is on the 53. Thank you Roger for forcing BB to move our QB2 off the PS. NY loses out again.

Carson Wentz Cam Newton Josh Rosen Colin Kaepernick Joe Flacco Matt Ryan (Said he's not officially retired) Chase Daniel Nick Foles Kellen Mond Bryce Perkins Trevor Siemian Danny Etling Colt McCoy Ian Book Matt Barkley Brett Hundley

The answer to dilemmas like this is simple: you don't actively root for either team. Just hope for both to f*ck up as much as possible en route to an exhausting, penalty filled overtime tie. If you must root for anything, root for heavy rain.
If it were later in the year the choice would be sub-zero cold and high winds in an exhausting, penalty filled overtime tie.

Kinda amazing the yabo on the left went to 'his Achilles is torn' seconds after the play ends, wheras the yabo on the right keeps saying "no, he's not injured" and "his foot was stepped on" even after Rodgers parks his ass on the ground, and doesn't believe it till he sees McMilfson coming into the game, then he loses it.
I just watched the play here and I ended up being the guy in the middle who just stared at the screen, not knowing what happened.

Moments like these are probably why Tunes started this thread, but damn, this is special. Talk about hard knocks.

More likely that Lawrence would be a backup for Denver by now if he had been drafted by the Jest.

Having a Jet fan root against your team is a blessing.

I can never take any delight in anybody's getting hurt. There's more than enough suffering in the world. I even feel a little sorry for Greenie and Eisen. If you step back from the injury, though, what might the Jets' losing Rodgers and Allen looking once again like his worst self portend for our Pats going forward? That's pretty intriguing.
More "tempting" than "intriguing" I think. Really can't tell much from Week 1 or 2 in the era of virtually no real, mandatory Training Camp and a 17 game season. Josh is not as bad as he looked, but the Jets D might be for real. Tough to see how the Pats compete with MIA, BUF and a decent Jets team, even without Rodgers.

That said, I like what I saw from the Pats on Sunday. Mac is still an unknown. If the throw that ended up OB on Fourth Down with the clock running down is thrown Brady-like into the one foot window that would have let the receiver get his foot down, the Pats were in striking distance of the endzone with time to win the game. I think we have to remember that Mac basically "lost" his opportunity to grow last season, so I'm ready to be patient even if the Pats end up 8--9 or so.

I guess we come back to the Pats offense, and especially whether or not Mac can play better than he did in his rookie year, being the big variable. There's also Tua's health since that Miami offense is explosive when healthy but idk, I'm not betting on him being available for 17 weeks

I hate the Jets and yet I feel bad for both the Jets and Rodgers. I remember the feeling in 2008 and it sucked. Not to mention the impact to Rogers beyond the health as coming back from an Achilles tear at this age is a not a given. Finally, the Jets brass bet a lot on this and may not surive it if this season is another failure.
