JETS SUCK 2023 EDITION (JOKER CERTIFIED): HARD KNOCKERS

I know you guys have a JETS suck thread here but come on this deserves another one. Rodgers can’t even break the Jets curse and I don’t even feel bad for the jets. Washed up bum
Nah, the Jete curse broke Rodgers instead. At least his Achilles, but certainly not his bank accounts.

Our Jete Suck thread exists to warn the world about the dangers of Jete Suckage.

Rodgers could have spared himself a lot of pain if he had read it.

On the other hand, Woody and the Jete GM were dumb enough to guarantee Rodgers $75M, so he can spend the next year or so counting his money, it will take him a long time.

They were even dumber to guarantee him $75M then put him behind the Jete OL with a 38 year old LT that got beat on the play that resulted in Rodger's injury, but that's a topic for another thread.

Aaron Rodgers Jets totals : 0 complete on 1 attempt, 1 sack -10 yards, Quarterback Rating: 2.6

I guess $75,000,000 doesn't buy what it used to.

I need to brush up on how QBR is calculated, but even 2.6 seems high for those stats.

I know you guys have a JETS suck thread here but come on this deserves another one.

Everything Rodgers/Jete is covered in that thread, what you're doing here is redundant.

You have like 5-10% of fans on these forums who celebrate injuries. 90-95% don’t. On Jets forums it’s like 20% of fans rooting for Brady injuries, so they’re a scummy fanbase.

I just paid $300 for Sunday Ticket. Honestly I planned to watch most Jets games (or at least the final minutes) because I’m emotionally charged rooting for Rodgers to lose. Brady is gone, the Patriots are looking like a fringe contender, and finding something that gets you pumped up on TV is a gem these days. So I’m really bummed about the injury. And I think most fans feel the same way which is why the overwhelming majority of NFL fans were bummed about the 08 Brady injury even though they hated the Patriots with such a passion. Rodgers/Jets was the best storyline of the season - without a doubt - and it sucks it’s not going to happen. It’s like spending money for a PPV match, getting all your friends together, predicting and analyzing it, and the fight ends in 15 seconds on a flukey punch.

Agreed. I have no doubt a healthy Rodgers would have made the Jete a contender for the division title while I suspect they would have found a way in the end to screw things up. This unfortunate injury removes the sitcom's star before its scheduled airing, leaving us pretty much with SOJ. Which is OK, I suppose, but not the high-stakes laugh fest we hoped for.

Jets Nation in general rn:

Not a fan of Rodgers but watching clips of him smiling while warming up last night, not knowing what was about to happen, it’s hard not to feel sorry for the guy. It has to be a brutal feeling for any elite athlete, regardless of guaranteed salary, to train his/her ass off in preparation for a new season only to suffer a major injury early on and suddenly have to face weeks of immobility followed by many months of difficult rehab.

I'd rather see Roger's play and fail than to miss the entire season.

It will be interesting how well the defense can hold up if they get zero offense all season.

I can never take any delight in anybody's getting hurt. There's more than enough suffering in the world. I even feel a little sorry for Greenie and Eisen. If you step back from the injury, though, what might the Jets' losing Rodgers and Allen looking once again like his worst self portend for our Pats going forward? That's pretty intriguing.

I hate the injury. I was enjoying watching AR fail on his own. He looked 54 years old and I was laughing. I want that again.

Also, re: the thread title : always has, always will.

Jet fans are saying that its a torn Achilles.

They claim that you can see it pop when Rodgers goes down.

Is it possible to laugh at the circumstances surrounding the injury, rather than the injury itself?

-Fraudgers the "savior"
-The trade compensation
-Contract $$
-Hard knocks BS

All gone in the blink of an eye, on MNF, in front of the highest JETE attendence in history (I think?).

I thought Tyreek Hill was the only person I'd find myself "giddy" over an injury, but man, last night was entertaining. Still hope I wasn't laughing at the injury itself though.

“Jets are going to the SB!!”

I was kind of expecting "Captain Comeback" to struggle to get in a full season. But 4 plays? The Jets will end up paying him 18.75 million per play. That's just so Jet.
