I like Flowers a lot. He is like Duran Harmon for me. Surprised by the money he got from the Lions but when he makes a play, it was a closer to a game winning play like Harmon's INT. When Harmon got an INT, it was one of the sure signs that we will win the game because it was always at a turning point in a game. I miss players like these and I think we are getting similar players on the team after a good five years of meh..

Jones, Branch and Cooks were starters who were far strong full time players. Uche is a sub who plays 38% of the snaps.
Hightower and Collins were also full time stars.

Those players are not similar to Uche.

I didn’t say anything like that I asked for players like Uche who were traded. They were not like Uche.
But you said you aren’t suggesting he will be traded so are you giving your opinion or just trying to argue?

Well on the edge you have Judon, Uche who played 38% of the snaps and Flowers who is on pup. Somehow you included Barmore but he doesn’t play there.

I didn't use the word "EDGE".

I believe that one of our best passing down defenses would be to have Judon, Barmore, Flowers, and Uche on the field.

But no matter, the important issue for me is that we have one of the best defenses in the NFL, especially with 2023 improvements in White, Flowers, Mapu and Board.

As I indicated, I'm fine with including Jennings or Perkins.

Wanted to see Flowers back for couple of years.
Interesting this comes in a year they stole Flowers 2.0 in the Draft.
Even if Flowers doesnt play a single snap this is a + in my book.

Not much as a pass rusher, but Jennings did a good job last year setting the edge on early downs.

No idea yet about what Perkins brings.

I have no idea how Roberts looks in Y2 - might be good.

Also some complain we need an upgrade to Davis which I agree with. I think Davis is on a "value" based contract, not the best player available based contract.

We need at a bare minimum 1.5 snaps per down out of edge players.

I would be fine with picking up a backup NT, as an upgrade to Davis. I'm sure that Belichick will carefully assess the 1000 cuts.

Roberts competes with lots of players for the final couple of roster spots. However, I don't see him on the 53 at the expense of Guy or Wise.

If Flowers is able to play, big if, then they have addressed their depth issues at Edge.

Jennings, although not a stud, is an adequate depth piece. Perkins has reportedly had some positive moments in camp and there is the outside chance that he proves to be better than Jennings.
