Did the league finalize increasing the roster to 54?

Yeah you're right, but I just couldn't decide which of the 10 OLmen to drop; might've been Reiffer if it weren't for his guaranteed money... Then there's Mister Anderson's NFI status... Onwenu hasn't been seen... Mafi vs Chasin' Hinds might be over sooner than expected... and has Mount Brown even strapped-on a helmet yet?

No way we get Boutte back on waivers. He is showing elite skills now and teams would just lap Him if they have underperforming receivers. He has to be on 53 now.

It's amazing how often these types of players suffer 8-week injuries just prior to cut-downs......

Love the Older Slater for what he did for us but it's time for a young guy to kick him off our Roster. Very Impressed with your Roster prediction I would add the extra RB and boot Matthew Slater. Toofy one caveat McDermott should be a PS Tackle if we get to him on the Depth Chart we're in trouble marginal Pass Blocker horrible Run Blocker.
Maybe if Anderson comes back from NFI , McDermott gets booted out.

As for slater , let's see if he plans to still play or retire . He has not been practicing in camp.

Anderson was at LT in camp and McDermott's been at RT. Reiff was been at both.

Not by choice mind you Reiff been barely serviceable at both.
IDK...I think Reiff has been at both a lot actually early on. But McDermott is the leader so far at RT and Brown will start at LT if healthy.

I don't think Mac is going to endorse the Conner McDermott @ RT club that could really set a guy back.

I actually have a soft corner for McDermott . I thought he did well last year towards the end. Gunning for him to become a pats mainstay like Andrews.

Not with our current schedule last years powder puff schedule won't compare.

Let's see . We don't have many choices and reiff I believe is looking to retirement and really happy that he was able to con us with a 4 million guaranteed contract. Anderson is injured, so still unknown , sow is a rookie and Brown hasn't practiced yet. So all things considered McDermott is number 1 OT now.

McDermott is actually a good run blocker which is why it makes sense to have him on the right. Hopefully he's been working on pass blocking lately.

That part had me.

OFFENSE
1) Cook or whoever is signed
2) 4 WR is more likely than 6; I expect five. If we sign someone, Bourne will likely be out, or someone else on IR. I'd add Mongomery.
3) Sokol seeming more likely than Firkser, but the choice is tough as you said.
4) I have Mafi over Hines
5) The team has Sow as an OT. I'd honor that and cut one of the four OT's that you list.
========================
DEFENSE
7) I think that it close between Ekuale and Davis
8) 11 position CB's is one too many. I'd cut Wade, adding Schooler.
9) It doesn't matter who is labeled CB and who is labeled S. I like this group of 10.
10) I'd cut Perkins or Jennings, and add STer Hellig.

#6?

Well he better get used to it... Because for the exact reasons Toofy already gave, McDermott's our starting RT, for now...

Thank you. I keep saying the line stabilized when McDermott started playing. He may not be an all pro but we have won a lot of games and SBs with average RTs.

Belichick thinks that we need Schooler and Hellig more than a 6th WR a 10th OL, and an 11th DB.
He just might be right.

He just might be right.
Nooooo... One STer is enough. It's better we stack some future players on 53 to get them experience instead of having 5+ pure special teamers. We already have enough in broad, slater and schooler. If heilig need sto be there it should be instead of slater . I hope we can get Cunningham as ST player ( gunner + QB + wr)

He was definitely our best RT last season, that's for sure.
