It isn't legal in an airport. Anywhere in the US.

Its illegal to carry on and through TSA, but totally legal to have it at the airport. Just like you can travel through states by car with guns that are illegal in that state, as long as you are permitted to have them. Any good lawyer worth a lick will have this tossed unless there's a lot more to the story, ill wait to hear more details. The million dollar question is, will Bill?!

I think these type of charges are an instant deal breaker after the Hernandez situation. Not saying he was going to murder someone but this situation makes me sense a bad lifestyle for this young man

Well, I don't think so. I mean, I own guns in MA. I have for many years now. Just having them doesn't mean I'm going to murder someone.

But I've never brought them to an airport and tried to get them by TSA. That's just dumb. And he's going to pay the price.

The high capacity mags will be an easy charge to beat especially if all the other charges are going to be fines or less. You can buy them in places as close as NH or RI. Plenty of ways around that law.

There are so many loopholes for one with money to acquire an "illegal" extended mag in MA. It is widely known as the "MA State police XMAS fund' in the gun community. MA law officer's are allowed to buy, sell and transfer 4 guns a year that only law enforcement are allowed to purchase. These guns are exempt. Many officers buy and resell all 4 yearly, for an upcharge of 500-2000$ (for handguns). Somehow it isn't illegal, crazy part is, supposedly its non taxable income for them. This is also legal and popular in CA. Rich people never have to play by the rules. I highly doubt he's a resident in MA too, which also offers a ton of legal outs.
