Have there been any other reports of a visit or teams serious about signing him other than us and Tennessee? I know the grumblings about the Bills and the Chiefs, but I mean teams with actual cap space?

No there haven’t been. There have actually been several reports saying they believe he won’t take any more visits, it’s probably a 2 horse race.

If that is the situation then I see no reason he should wait until camp other than waiting out an early injury to a #1 some where in the league and that seems like a poor plan. Or at a minimum a gamble.

Take the most cash/best deal you can get now, get to work. Familiarize yourself with your new team and be fresh and ready to go come late July!

Yeah I am guessing he is just going to talk to Tennessee and get their best offer after talking to NE and then step back and think about what he wants, and make a decision on the weekend.
