kc is up against it cap wise imo

bills have some wiggle room to create space

jete still have to worry about getting arodgers his new deal before considering hopkins
It's easy to create cap space unless you totally mismanage finances like the Saints did a few years ago.

KC has not done that.

I have a feeling Bill will give him some pretty serious cash to come to NE and firm up their WR room. BOB knows him. Hopkins has familiarity with the system from his time with BOB. They have so much cap space in the next few seasons.

I don’t know if cash is a major consideration for him. Pats check some of his boxes but not all, namely at QB.

Aren’t you clever? Say he goes to KC and has JuJu numbers compared to coming here and has 110 catches and 15 TDs. Under what circumstance do you foresee him making more when he’s a doddering old man of 31 and 32 in 2024 and 2025.
He won't be getting ANOTHER big money deal after whatever deal he puts together now. And he isn't getting 110 catches and 15 TDs anywhere, and certainly not here.

I wouldn't bet on that. As a passer would put Mac10 above the second baseman playing QB in AZ

He just recently came out last week specifically saying he doesn't care if the QB is "elite", he just wants to play with a QB that loves the game (i.e. not Kyler)

You go take a look, then get back to me... Right now, they have 650k-ish cap space, and a crap ton of bonus monies paid out...

Do whatever we can to keep him away from the rest of the AFC east.

This is actually the reason that Hopkins isn't coming here.

Nah, I doubt it's an issue. I mean, it doesn't HELP but I don't think it's a big net negative. In New England he can both A) get paid now and B) be pretty confident that Bill O'Brien will make him successful and be able to cash in again with one last contract around 34 or 35 years old with a bottom-dweller team. He looked great with BOB already so no reason to think he won't again.

Rodgers should recruit him asap.

Teams that could reach out are KC, NYJ, Buffalo, Dallas or Baltimore where veterans go to die.

If you twisted my arm saying KC or Dallas

They need to make a play for him, he would really help this offense out

draft compensation is out of the equation now, and we have plenty of cap space in future years to work with

Money talks. Many think it will be Chef’s or Bills because they are serious contenders, but as a Patriot fan I know how many times we thought high quality veterans who were on the market would come here for “ the ring, “ but the vast majority went to the highest bidder, and didn’t come here. If the Patriots make the best offer, which they can if they want to, then he will sign here.

Bills are my 2nd choice. Hopkins and Diggs puts Buffalo over the top.

Put the Bills over the top? Haha. I like your posts from time to time, but posts like this display a lack of football knowledge. The Bills are past their window, they missed it, there is no "over the top" for the Bills. If you really understood anything about TB12 you would understand the Bills missed their opportunity, and the JETE trading for Rodgers puts them back in perpetual purgatory for another 10 years.

No. He’s only 30 and only two seasons removed from his last outstanding year. Playing with Mahomes, Allen, or Hurts will boost his stock big time.
Julio Jones was 30 for his last good season (9th) before he fell of a cliff (well... with a slightly soft landing of 51rec 771yds 3TD before the crash). DHop will be 31 in his 11th season this upcoming year. Imho, with the injuries and the ped suspension, the dude is done. Fumble against the Pats last year was inexcusable.

Should be in for him but I don't think the chances are great. But if the team wants to make a statement and add a piece that would transform the offense here is the opportunity to try to do it.
