Patriots Have Called on Jeudy

We all know our track record when it comes to picking WR's in the draft and I am not sure that will change unless Bill decides to leave the drafting completely up to Bob . I would rather they get a true 1WR in free agency of through a trade, someone that is a known commodity !
Maybe the Pats could give the Steelers a third to see their WR draft board.

He's going to command a huge contract and they're paying for Russell Wilson. The team needs cheap good players (thru draft picks) because they're handcuffed. Jeudy is going to get $20m a year on the open market.
Wilson's cap hits are ridiculous, I agree, but if Jeudy's really that good, you'd think Denver would find a way to keep him.

I agree, but why would they do that? Better to just let him play out his deal and maybe he will stay. What's his compensatory pick if he leaves next year?

If he signs elsewhere next off-season, the Donkeys will receive an end-of 3rd-round pick, at best, in 2025.

If they trade him to me AND eat a third of his option, then I'll give them #46 overall, and two years early I might add...

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jeudy go for a 2nd near or during the draft.
Cousins, It appears that the Browns are sniffing Jeudy as well. Both the Browns and Pats have said nyet to the Broncos on 1st rounders. The money now would be to bet on the 2nd rounder as a start especially after the Cooks trade. We have #46 and the Browns have #42. You would think that favors him....but not so fast. If the Browns give up a 2nd they have no 1st and their next pick is #98. We are loaded with 6ths and 4ths. I say #46 plus a lower pick gives us an advantage.
Thoughts?

I would absolutely do a 46 and a 6th for Jeudy, provided the Pats can get him signed long term as part of the deal. If the price is similar for Hopkins and Jeudy you have to go with the younger guy.

I remember I was a huge fan of Jeudy coming out because he ran such good routes.

I hope you’re right. I think he would be a great addition to the team.

Or just let Me make the pick I wanted A.J Brown and George Pickens the last two times we went WR.
Our WR scout must be some total hipster who goes against the grain just because he thinks its cool to be niche...

They could literally have gone with the NFL.com Best Player Available and you'd have drafted better WR than what we picked...

Denver has two high 3rd's, a 4th, 5th, and 6th, so they're shopping talent to get more choices
The Browns only have a 2nd (42), two 4ths, a 5th and 7th
We have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, three 4ths, four 6ths, and a 7th.
Maybe we offer our 2nd, our high 6th, and swap our high 4th (107) for their high 5th (139).

Patriots are going to have to throw in another mid round pick or a Player to go with that second and fourth.

So I'm hearing a 2nd and a 4th for Jeudy.

That's an acceptable price for a WR2 with some upside to still improve since he's still only 23.

There's no way I'd give up a 1st for Jeudy though.

I'm wondering, was Jeudy a contemporary with Mac Jones at Alabama, or did he leave too early for that to happen?

“You’re hearing” Meaning you ready the post here from an hour and an half ago?

Broncos turned down a second and fourth it’s gotta be more.
Maybe We will have to trade a player along with that.
I just can’t think who we could afford to part with that Denver would want.

I linked the article in my post. It's supposedly quoting information from a journalist Mary Kay Cabot. The relevant quote being:

“The Broncos supposedly at least pondered an offer for a second- and fourth-rounder, possibly from the Patriots.”

Which means we have to go more if we are still interested in him it really seems like we are trying to get Mac everything he needs.

Get him his guy.

Wonder if Jeudy wasn’t in play if Hopkins would have been a done deal by now.
