Are there so many really good CBs in this draft because the WRs are mediocre? Or are the WRs looking mediocre because of so many good CBs?
Likely a combination of both.
But I agree with your premise here, although I'm not sure how good Jeudy really is. There are no WRs in this draft that excite me at pick 14.
Johnston needs a really good deep ball thrower (not Mac) and I see his hands being questioned as is his consistency.
JSN might become something special, but the listed weaknesses (rolling into breaks) will mean little separation at the NFL level, which is everything for a slot receiver. Plus, he's a SLOT receiver, an ankle breaker if he develops properly. That doesn't scream 1st Round to me.
I like Addison a lot - but he looks more like a late-2nd/3rd rounder to me compared to the guys who we've seen come out the last couple of years.
Not going to beat a dead horse here, but 2019 was the year to get the real blue chip receivers. It's unbelievable how good and deep that class was, with, weirdly, the exception of the first two off the board. I just don't see a high 1st rounder out there, watching the highlights, reading the scouting reports, etc. Maybe BCG will school me here, but...
