How much longer will you drink the BB kool-aid?

It's called I hate Bill, he got rid of Tommy! He was supposed to pass Russell, Orr, Bird as the #1 legend, yet he was the first to bail on the team, town, and coach he "respects". BBs window shut the minute Brady tampered his exit with Cryami. Makes me wonder how much BB knew before the 2019 season started.
Yikes...what an incoherent mess this post is. Dont know where to begin.

Fail on management, BB
Try these on.

Captain Stone accurately delineated the issue:

Coach Belichick, si.
GM Belichick, no.

He’s been missing on first-rounders, which the franchise didn’t do. Second-rounders have been, on the whole—yes, looking at you Boney Thornton—a woeful mess.

Where Bill the GM shines is in bringing in FAs. Anthony Pleasant has always been a favorite of mine.

It worked because he built the best teams. QBs don’t win by themselves
It's funny how how the 2000 and early 2001 Patriots went from bums to the "best built team" in one week. Interesting.

Then the franchise with the worst winning percentage in the history of professional sports instantaneously morphed into the "best built team" in one season. Truly fantastical!

Then in 2020 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just happened to put together the best team while Bill has lost his roster building touch and Brett Veach discovered it in KC whil coincidentally having a generational QB on board. Funny how it works.

My PF account has been acting up. The powers that be dont like threads or folks posting anti unicorns and rainbows in the near future.

Thanks to all your hard work though.

You cant figure our how the defense gets all the attention?
Because it didn’t. They signed the two most expensive TE’s in free agency, they drafted a QB in the first round. It’s simply not true.
College ball has nothing in common with the Pros.

Its been eons since a NCAA HC transitioned to the NFL and was successful.
This is a load of BS.

I think both sides are a bit extreme in their takes. Belichick isn't as bad as some think and without him we probably win 3 or 4 games last season. With that said, its still possible to be a good coach and for your culture to no longer work enough to win superbowls. If we win less than 8 games next season then its probably time to move on. It doesnt mean he wasn't the goat coach. It just means that we can no longer win with him. It happens to the best.

2020 was the cap reset year, so they weren't getting better until 2021 anyhow.
Excuses.

What are your excuses for the team sucking after Thanksgiving every season? I really want to hear that.

In 2021 they made the playoffs with a rookie QB.
They beat a bunch of jag quarterbacks. Finished the season 1-4 and suffered the worst playoff loss of Belichick's career.

Who is sticking up for the Patricia hiring or saying it was smart... literally nobody.
Patricia's a loser, and BB made another horrible decision, but somehow it's turned into an excuse for the entire 2022 season. Everyone gets a pass, including BB who's responsible for ****ing it up in first place. Mac too, nothing to see hear, let's just move onto 2023.

It's 2023, they fixed their mistake...
See, here again, it's all good now, fixed. Patricia out, O'Brien in, every problem solved.

The team is a long ways away from being "fixed." The big nothing so far in FA isn't making me feel any better about it either.

You probably weren’t a fan then but Belichick totally overhauled the roster from 2000 to 2001.

I would rather scoop my brains out with a melon baller than betray my beloved Coach Belichick.
As long as we are both breathing, I'll keep drinking.

I was. Try something else. Eventually you might bumble across something that sticks.

Branch was a 2nd year player who caught 57 passes. Brady 2003 half 23 Td 12ints. He wasn’t 2016 Brady.

2023 OL has every chance to be better than 2003.

2003 Brown caught 40 passes.

As I said the 2022 defense was better than the 2002 defense so we will see what they add and how it turns out.

The 2003 team improved by 5 wins from 2002 with very few additions.

If was a different game 20 years ago, but Brady is miles ahead of Jones who regression in year 2 was nothing we ever seen from Brady.

Then again Brady didn’t have to deal with Marty P “the Hellen Keller of offense coordinators”.

Let’s hope we give Jones some better tools to work with in 2023

This team used to finish strong ever T-day to January, but something happened, pretty confident there is a plan to make it better.
In the NFL a win is a win and a loss is a loss, there are no style points or any qualifications for how good the QB's are.
BB took responsibility for last year, he has never shirked or blamed anyone else it's on him.
This team is a long way from being "fixed", but very confident there are a lot of irons in the fire and believe it or not we will be better.
What you see now is not what you will see come September, they restructured Devin contract for a reason.. there are plans in place here he has a lot of cap money to play with and some pretty good players who will be available
If you listen too much to Bertram, Jones, Felger et al.. you probably should stop as their only intent is to stir up controversies and nontroversies.
If not Captain Ed is looking for a few new followers to take under his loud mouthed wings..
Step back from the edge and believe...
