Yes, certainly. However, I'm still trying to figure out your point from "6-10, 7-9, 7-9." I mean I wouldn't call them down seasons for BB - that's the start of his HC career taking over a 3-13 team.
Nothing difficult to figure out...
People were talking down Payton for multiple losing seasons in a row. In fact, BB had already long since accomplished such a feat.
So let's recap:
Tomlin bad because he's missed the playoffs and only has the one title
Payton bad because he had losing records, IN CONSECUTIVE YEARS!, and only has the one title
Reid bad because he was a "disaster" in the NFC for only going to 5 NFCCGs and 1 SB before moving to KC
But BB missing the playoffs 7 times, having a 3 year losing season streak, and not getting to even one conference championship game while in Cleveland is no big deal, because he won Super Bowls while coaching the greatest QB of all time, something that Bruce Arians also accomplished.
Again, I'm not trying to talk down BB. But he hasn't been Joe Gibbs, winning with 3 different QBs. BB had the Brady advantage, just as Walsh had the Montana advantage when he was winning 3 titles in 10 years, and that needs to be acknowledged and adjusted for when people are talking about the coaching hierarchy.
