How did Brown have more success at LT?
He took 13 penalties (2 of which were declined) to lead the league.
He gave up 8 sacks. Amongst the worst in the league (if not the worst).
When he played LT for us 3 years ago.

He played better at LT for us than he did at RT last year.

So, that explains why the coaching staff put him at LT.

Don't say that you'll make TunescribeHarry upset.
I largely agree with Tunescribe that you don't throw away QBs and you develop them because any other position doesn't make sense.

I'm still in Mac Jones's corner.

That doesn't mean that Mac didn't have a pretty poor year toward the bottom of the league. He did. And as bad as Patricia is (I hope he's not OC), Mac's bad year was not all on Patricia. Even yesterday when Mac had plenty of time, he made some poor decisions or late reads.

He also proved he has plenty of arm to play in this league.

He’s the offensive coordinator, it’s not crazy to think he might have a part in what happens to an offensive player. Either that, or he’s powerless, neither of which speak well of him.
It was Patricia's first season as OC.

What if the calls came from BB and Patricia was following orders?

Kingsbury fired in Arizona. I'd be happy with him or BoB as coordinator.
I mentioned this article in another thread, it’s Albert Breer to take it for what it’s worth.
Breer: Three OC options for Pats not named Bill O'Brien

"If you want to go completely off the board, here's one for you. The Patriots have done their research on Kliff Kingsbury," he said. "I don't know if Kliff Kingsbury is even going to be available, I don't know if Kliff Kingsbury's even going to want to coach if he's fired in Arizona, but I do think he's somebody the Patriots would look at as far as if you're looking at somebody who might be able to move things forward a little bit and has different ideas to inject into what you're doing.

"I know things haven't been perfect in Arizona, but one thing defensive coaches have told me consistently over the last couple of years is because it's so outside of the norm, Kingsbury's offense might be the most difficult to prepare for in the entire NFL. So that would be one name to put on your radar if the O'Brien thing doesn't happen."

is it me, or are injuries up with this team.....and have we seen players struggle to come back from injury/have lingering issues that don't seem to go away

not sure if this is reflective of a league wide trend due to modern practice rules, or if ous strength/conditioning & training staffs need to be looked at

Wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

I’ve noted the parallel before between Bourne and Malcolm Butler, in both cases valuable players were shunted to the side under mysterious circumstances.

As you say, none of us definitively knows what happens, but it’s interesting.

Interesting. Bill Belichick is Matt Patricia's "best friend" and "he is one of the greatest guys in the world".
Somehow, I do not think BB will fire Matt. He may move him to another coaching position, but he is not firing him.
But move him where?

BB had plenty of time to find and bring in another OC from outside the NE organization, but declined. BB hired within his circle of trusted and proven people.

Patriots were 1 of 2 teams with a positive +/- point differential that did not make the playoffs. Det was the other.
Did not even know this was a stat and completely irrelevant.

So 2 sons and best friend on coaching staff - wonderful!

Would anyone be shocked if they moved on from Mac this offseason?

I would not be shocked.

I think Mac deserves another year, but I definitely would not be shocked
I’d be surprised if they just plain move on from him. But I do think it’s possible Mac vs. Zappe might be a real thing in training camp now that Zappe has a full season under his belt to learn the offense, learn from the Chicago disaster, and to build up his own arm strength and knowledge further.

Maybe I’m dead wrong though, and Mac gets shipped to Vegas and Brady decides he wants to come back to his football home and Belichick meets him halfway on some of his locker room demands…..

As much as I love Brady I do not want a 46 year old qb I want to look at the future

Could Mayo leaving for another DC/even HC position be a blessing in disguise? It would be an easy way to switch Patricia back over to defense. Yknow, where he should be.
