What if they're planning on putting strange there? As I mentioned after the last draft, Strange is the exact same height/weight as Light was, but with better athleticism. There is also the potential to move him to Center. A position he played in the Senior Bowl and the Coaches were impressed by his abilities.
Strange is just (at the end of the year) getting to be a competent LG. I think moving him to LT would be a bad idea.

I've had a couple so don't kill me on this one BUT.. if Kraft is looking for a coaching change could he trade BB to New Orleans for Sean Payton?
A coach has to agree to be traded. No way Belichick agrees to go coach the Saints.

he isn't going to coach the Saints but I think Bill grabs Landry from there

Please cite where Kraft came out and stated that he was against moving Patricia to the OC/OL position and Judge to the QBC position. I'll wait.

I admit he doesn't say it specifically, but it is pretty clear he is saying was against the move, but he gave Belichick the leeway because he is Bill. But also alludes to that if Bill makes this move, it better work out.

Don't be surprised if the Pats sign Jarvis Landry to reunite with Parker next season.....Jarvis is turning 30 and Bill love to sign those soon to be old receivers, although 30 isnt that old - I prefer a guy like Chark or Lazard but doubt it.

The Pats may kick the tires on Landry, but he's got a few things against him

He only played in 9 games, spending 2 stints on the IR.
He turns 31 in November.

It's not even close to what you claimed Kraft said. That's such a giant leap that even the Jolly Green Giant would have issues making it.

The reason why I say consider firing Belichick is because any other coach in the league did what he did and put Patricia in charge of both the play calling duties and the offensive line and Judge as QBs coach and they failed as miserably as they did, that head coach would be fired.

Belichick made these moves against Kraft's objections. Kraft said that Belichick has earned the right to make these head scratching moves because he is the GOAT. But that also tells me that, he might have used up most of his GOAT clout with Kraft already.

If Belichick is back next year which I expect he will, he will most likely have to produce or he may not break Shula's record with the Patriots. I think he will need that playoff win next year or he is done with the Patriots. But some of Kraft's words this past offseason about how this team needed to get a playoff win and his not being on board with Patricia means that I wouldn't be shocked if Belichick "resigns", is fired, or traded before the playoffs is over.
If any other coach in the league hired a bad staff around him like Belichick did that coach would have his staff replaced before he would be fired. Relieving him of his gm duties or hiring a new staff have to come before firing the coach, which is why I don’t by that Bill is in trouble at all. I thought this team was pretty well coached the two years before this so it seems that obvious to me that the defections to the raiders and who he brought in to replace those coaches was the issue not Bill.

Cmon, it is pretty clear what he meant. Kraft isn't going to come out and say he is against Bill's personnel moves especially after what happened with Parcells. But it is pretty easy to read between the lines that he didn't agree with the moves and he gave the leeway to Belichick because he is who he is. And he said at the end he is a results oriented person. And that is pretty clear that if Bill makes this move, it better work out.

Let's not play this game that just because he didn't say "I was against Bill putting Patricia and Judge in charge of the offense and if it doesn't work out there is going to be consequences" that it isn't clear from this video that he didn't agree with the move.

I get that this wasn't some well drilled team this year and yes you can say "they should just play better" but
Henry's TD stands against Vikings & the blatant hold on the kick return- W
Refs call the Raiders WR out- W
Refs call Stevenson forward progress - W
This **** show- W
and these were all things that directly effected the final result

People will talk about the coaching and blunders and offense but they were genuinely ****ty reffing away from potentially being a 12-5 team and that was with an above average when it was good and bad bad when it was bad offense.

Obviously get a competent OC & OL coach, re-sign Meyers, get a competent LT move Brown back to RT. I know people will say "go find a #1 WR" unless they can swing a deal for Hopkins don't think a #1 is out there to be had that's worth what it might take . Just need to get an OC and an OL coach that has a clue. There is something there with Thornton I know most don't think so but just need to get an actual OC that can actually utilize Thornton and Bourne. Also seen people **** on Parker, yes he has is injuries but he showed up today and showed throughout the season that he has a role. Stevenson, Strong and K. Harris should be a pretty good RB corp. Jonu Smith needs to massively redo his deal or make him a post-June 1 cut. (saves about $5m for 2023 and $12m for 2024). Would bring back Jabril Peppers if it's a reasonable deal.

Definitely think they should take the best CB available at 14. Hoping Ringo is still there (Jon Jones is a FA) . Hopefully he has a meh combine and pro-day.

Yeah I think he’s washed. If the Pats are choosing between guys like Lazard or Landry to replace Agholor then I’d rather just see them address that spot in the draft.

If the Pats are going to try to bring in a regularly injured receiver from the Saints I would rather it be Michael Thomas who is likely to get cut.

This board is insane and delusional; there’s NO CHANCE the patriots would ever fire Belichick. The Patriots could go 0-17 next year and his coaching seat would still be the coolest in all of North American sports.

Waiting for something new. Tired of rehashing. Think I’ll fold my tent until something really happens.

The stones on some of you begging to use 14 on a WR given our track record.

No. If any other head coach put two coaches with next to no offensive coaching experience in charge of the offense and then gave the guy who was the de facto OC also the responsibility of the o-line and they failed like Patricia and Judge did, they would be fired.

This isn't a case of hiring an offensive assistant with 5-10 years of offensive experience who just didn't cut it as an offensive coordinator. This was hiring a guy who was an offensive assistant for one year twenty years ago to implement an entirely new offense, call the plays, coach the o-line, and develop your second year head coach.

A lot of head coaches would be fired just for trying to make Patricia the OC. I don't think many head coaches even have the clout to try something so bold and ultimately stupid. Granted Andy Reid did survive making Juan Castillio a DC.

1. Jameis Winston
2. Marcus Mariota

1. Jared Goff
2. Carson Wentz
22. Paxton Lynch
2. Mitch Trubisky

10. Patrick Mahomes
1. Baker Mayfield
3. Sam Darnold

7. Josh Allen
10. Josh Rosen
32. Lamar Jackson
1. Kyler Murray
6. Daniel Jones
15. Dwayne Haskins

GREEN: HIT
BLACK: UNDETERMINED
RED: BUST

As you can see, 10 of the QBs taken higher than our pick have busted. Only 5 have worked out for their teams.
8% of all American males, including myself, are red-green colorblind. Your color choices make your post undecipherable

I am saying Kraft should consider it. I know he won't. But I think Kraft has a shorter hook than you think. Kraft is 82 years old. If the Patriots don't make a step forward next year, I think Belichick is fired. Kraft isn't going to wait for Belichick to turn around the team from his view from six feet under in Sharon Cemetery.

Forget the tent. Chill until April 27th, stay at a Holiday Inn Express, and then explain the Patriots' draft to me.
