100% agree with you. I would like to see Buffalo win the SB this year and this year only.
The Pats do not deserve to be in the playoffs, because of their inconsistent play and just downright bad offense.
Pats have won 6 superbowls
Buffalo 0 Superbowls
Buffalo has been through hell this year
Josh Allen is a very likable leader and an exciting player to watch.

I will not actively root against Pats but will not be disappointed in any way to see Bills win on Sunday. Its a unique situation
While I agree with your sentiment, its a little stronger than I would put it purely based on fact that Bills are already in playoffs. Would like to see Pats sneak into playoffs. If/when they get eliminated I will be rooting for Bills rest of the way.

If BB went up to the podium it would have been the Kobayashi Maru of all press conferences...

He tasks me...

Guessing the NEP wants to avoid at all costs the pot'l perception of coming off as being insensitive to Hamlin's condition and assuming there is a game to be played.
"Bill, why do you have your team prepping for a game this weekend? You should be focusing on Damar Hamlin's health, nothing else matters. Why are you so self-centered that you are concerned with football right now?"

Good call to pass on the presser.

Only a guy like Bill Parcells could handle this situation.

He'd go on the offensive and blame the press for trying to paint him a bad light like only he could and be effective at doing so..

"You're a jerk"....

Yep. Still think it doesn't matter where the game is.

HFA at the Div and CCG level is more about who the better team is than where it's played.
The bye is the major consideration not home field advantage. One less game to play is far more important than where a game is played.

Agree re Buffalo though. If my team can't win it I wouldn't mind seeing the Bills get one. That city has been through a lot lately.
I think this is going to be like that Steelers Super Bowl, where the League gifts it to Buffalo no matter what.

The Pats vs Bills game is going forward.

Why involve the Pats when the only 2 teams affected right now are the Bills and Bengals? Furthermore, as others have noted, the NFL resumed play 1 week after 911 where thousands of Americans were killed. The NY Giants and NY Jets both played their games.

I don't want to sound insensitive here. I hope Damar Harris makes a full recovery and it's a very tough thing to go through. I wish him and his family all the best.

That said, why are they talking about postponing the game against the Pats? Aren't football players supposed to be tough not just physically but mentally. A guy had a tragic accident (by all accounts) and isn't that when the team comes together and "wins one for the Gipper"' or Brian's Song style? I mean, people have been paralyzed for life on the field and they played on with no talk of forfeits and postponing games.

I mean, if someone at my workplace had a heart attack and had to be taken away in an ambulance, maybe (and that's a strong maybe) they'd cancel work for the rest of the day but not the rest of the week surely. These guys are contracted to play a sport and they should be expected to unless all 52 guys on the team want to forfeit.

Again, I'm not trying to be callous. I'm just trying to understand why the Bills wouldn't rally around this tragedy rather than trying to get out of playing the Pats (or Bengals for that matter).

I'm of the opinion the NFL likes any press, good or bad. The fact that everyone is talking about whether or not they'll play the game is all they care about.

This game is going to be played. There's too much money at stake for everyone. Owners, TV/Radio, players, officials, vendors, all the way down to parking lot attendants, all get paid when the game is played. All the rest is just noise in my opinion.

hope Damar recovers. not to be insensitive, but play the game. many people lives/families depend on it.

how come we didnt cancel the game when Andy Reid's son destroyed an unsuspecting family on purpose.

If he passes away there is no way in hell they are playing the game - nor should they.

Lol, I can only imagine the level of Patriots hate that will occur if they dare to beat the Bills. Belichick won't give a crap.
Don't worry, they won't. One way or another.

Didn’t Chris Henry die in season for the Bengals? I believe they played the next week?

Just checked. They played 3 days after he died. Maybe they ended up feeling that that was a mistake, though. Also, his teammates didn’t witness his incident in person, so that’s different.

I think it depends on how much heat the League office is feeling for the 5 minute thing. If they're still getting ripped by the media, they'll want to err on the side of appearing to comfort the players.
