That's what I heard last nightSo is he essentially in a medically induced coma?
They'll be updating family. The family may have told them they don't want it to be publicNot having experienced a heart attack or having been old enough to understand what happened to my grandparents when they had theirs 30 some years ago, is it normal for there to have been no update on a patients condition after 12+ hours for something like this?
I know there was one that supposedly game from his Local Marketing guy last night, but then we had reports from the team and the NFL contradicting that.
I had a friend put in a medically induced coma after suffering a heart attack. It was more than 24 hrs later that we got the first updates from the medical staff. Not having experienced a heart attack or having been old enough to understand what happened to my grandparents when they had theirs 30 some years ago, is it normal for there to have been no update on a patients condition after 12+ hours for something like this?

Per Chao, a day or two before his breathing tube is removed. They'll be updating family. The family may have told them they don't want it to be public
Nobody knows where the directive on "5 minutes" came from. I am no Goodell or NYJ-FL fan, but logically, it did not come from NY, that quickly. More likely a bad decision by an on-field ref not grasping the seriousness of the issue and treating it like any other cart-off injury.Crazy the league was going to give them 5 minutes to warm up then go back out there with one of their teammates/opponents life hanging in the balance. The greed of this league knows no bounds.
Yeah, don't think we'll hear any updates til the end of this week. I was just reading up on Kevin Everett, the Bills tight end who was nearly paralyzed a few years ago, and it was days until he was taken off a respirator when he suffered his injury. Scary.Per Chao, a day or two before his breathing tube is removed.
