Reggie Lewis was "fully cleared" too.

If I were Hamlin, I would take what happened as a sign and get out while I could.
To call Reggie Lewis "fully cleared" is a misleading statement considering that 12 of 13 doctors who examined him did not clear him.

According to medical science what happened to him was a one in a million freak occurrence, so he's at no further risk. No lingering physical condition from it. He'll be OK.

Accurate. Reggie Lewis had an enlarged heart, an inherited defect called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), which produced an errant heart rhythm under exercise stress that led to his sudden death. Hamlin's injury was commotio cordis:
Commotio cordis is Latin for "agitation of the heart," and it occurs when a person gets hit in the chest with a certain amount of force at a very specific time in the heart cycle, when the electricity is flowing from one side of the heart to the other. "Then that can trigger cardiac arrest. ... It can be a lethal condition," NBC New senior medical correspondent Dr. John Torres said in a TODAY segment in January.
Damar Hamlin suffered commotio cordis, causing his cardiac arrest. What is it?

The two conditions are not related.

The ultimate example of not marrying well, DHL (not the delivery company) embraced the quack 13th. Reggie would be with us today if he had simply received the proper treatment.

I have two nephews with that congenital condition, both have lived long lives. They cannot overexert themselves or exercise.
