I never got the Bim thing. Basically he runs the SF defense which requires huge talent on D which means you can't fix the holes on the offense. It's a hard thing to pull off long term. A bad draft somewhere along the line sinks the ship. He also seems to be a rah rah type, aka Pete Carroll. Not the kind I'd want running my team. Seems Woody may feel the same way.

The scuttlebutt is Punky has been forced into an offense that doesn't suit him. Then Woody got REALLY upset at all the booing and blames the coaching staff. GOOD TIMES!

Is Woody meddling? Coaching staff on thin ice?

Oh, let's go. It's a year too early on the 'Jete Cycle', but it truly is a source of offseason entertainment every time it happens.

They had 5 first round picks in the last two seasons (4 in the top 15), and two 2nd round picks (#34 and 36). It shouldn't be that hard.

Still think that both Douglas & Mr Clean Junior receive one more season, and with the same QBs... That's my hope anyway...

Life is short, I'm all for seeing the Jete applecart upset early and often.

It's not that hard to get things started, it's hard to keep them going. What are they going to do now that they don't have lots of draft picks, mostly in the beginning of each round? Now they'll have a more typical number of picks at more typical places in the draft, and have to deal with the fact that some of the better picks they've made in the recent past will either want to leave or want to get paid, or might decline due to major injury or normal wear and tear. Bim will want to keep steering resources towards the D since his scheme depends on athleticism. Missing on Punky and Messy Bacon really hurt their team building exercise, and may cost Bim and Doofus their jobs.

You literally just described the last 50 years of the Jete Franchise.

It is remarkable how Punky's trajectory mirrors that of Darnit, only Punky's decline was faster and steeper.
Which mirrored the trajectory of Mark Sanchez, same - decline faster and steeper.

Fun Fact: Mark Sanchez is the 3rd best QB in the history of the Jete Franchise, and there's a case to be made that he's 2nd best. Tony Eason had a better career than Mark Sanchez.

Darnit got a really raw deal from the Jete. He's now finally playing well in Carolina.
