Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I honestly didn't care how Brady played and I sure as heck didn't want to see him in another uniform. He wanted to finish his career here and he earned that chance and the fans should have been given that chance too. Instead we get Belichick's coaching clown car going for a spin here while the greatest player to ever play the game was driven away.

And Kraft still effectively gets a complete pass...

Bob is the driver of the coaching clown car and Bill is the back seat driver. Brady made both of those men wealthier than they would have been with any other QB. As a reward for that they penny-pinched him for years and then drove him out.

Lol that's a good one. I have no clue what happened to him. He was a serviceable LT from 20-21 now he's trash
He should have been benched already due to his putrid play. Maybe his "personal problems" will compel the team to make a change.

Raiders aren’t that bad an option he’d have elite weapons Adams, Renfrow, Waller, and Jacobs with a good coach. Raiders have lost 7 games by less than 6 points Brady vs Carr helps that and they didn’t have Renfrow/Waller for 4 of those games. They can also fetch a 2nd round pick for Carr to help out the defense through the draft

I've been on the "Brady to LV makes the most sense" bandwagon for about 2 months now.... but let's be real.... Vegas ain't gettin' jack squat for Derek Carr when the whole world knows they literally have no choice but to cut him and he is drastically overpaid in the future years of his current deal.

I agree that they won't get anything or much cause of the contract extension. It was an odd contract extension cause only 5.6 mil was guaranteed and thus he can easily be moved.

Someone is trading for him they’ll get a third atleast too many teams need a QB annd he’s decent

If LVR decides they want Brady then Carr's a goner at very little cost. No one wants Carr with all that dough attached to him so a trade isn't happening. A Brady to LVR scenario might save McDaniels' job too. However, not sure Brady will want any part of LVR now... their defense is pretty bad and that's a tough division with KC and LAC.

49ers are legit. Anyone besides the Eagles should be terrified of them.

The offense is idiot proof
Tell me about it. It's a match made in heaven perfectly tailored for a 46yo QB.

The problem is that the 49rs are proving that they can just plug any QB and be successfully. They're going to be arrogant like before and believe they don't need Brady as they can win with anyone.

Purdy will likely have to oppose Hurts who's the MVP favorite. Then he'll have beat Mahomes, Allen or Burrow in the Super Bowl. SF's defense is awesome but I don't see them beating these elite quarterbacks while relying on a Purdy led offense to score enough points.

In fairness, why plug in a 46 year old QB when they have Purdy and Lance and possibly could resign Jimmy on the cheap? I do think Brady may have a difficult time finding a solid team next year. He has finally started to look his age IMO. I know there are a ton of issues with the Bucs but he can't elevate like before and any contender is going to want that.

We did it in 2001 when Brady was not Brady yet. I'll say that he had nearly a full season under his belt at that point though. That makes a difference.

However, Purdy has much better weapons around him.

I mean, it still would be a huge upset, but it has been done before.
