I would definitely put significant blame on coaching especially special teams for not getting them ready for this game . We can't lose 14 points through special teams and average punt around 30 yards inside a dome. Unacceptable .
All that typing, and you & others still fail to see the (or at least my) main argument: Zappy NEVER should’ve been removed from the starting gig in the first place.
All that typing, and you & others still fail to see the (or at least my) main argument: Zappy NEVER should’ve been removed from the starting gig in the first place. No reason Whatsoever to do so; and when it did happen, in prime time when everyone ass-umed that Bill would surpass Papa Bear, the results were a predictable, unprofessional, incompetent Catastrophe… Zappy should’ve remained the starter until he sucked in a game as badly as Corky has sucked in Multiple games this & last season. Everything Corky’s done (i.e.: losing, or sucking while winning) should Never Have Happened… And please don’t insult our intelligence by claiming that Zappy couldn’t have “accomplished “ what Corky did to “win” those games vs the Jete & Indy Blood Clots… Pats won IN SPITE OF Corky, not because of him…or his choke-ass circus clown play-caller.
And if he does, people shouldn't root against Zappe either for the sake of Mac. At the end of the day, we need the team to win and as long as the guy under center is playing well, that's about any of us can hope for.I get the feeling the real reason people want to see Zappe play is because he’s easier to like than Mac. That’s a fair point. I don’t care for Mac being like McEnroe or acting like Ben did with injuries. But Cam Newton was easy to like too and I think we all had enough of him a couple seasons ago.
Likeability by fans isn’t really a good reason to bench an established starter mid season. Especially since Zappe looked like he didn’t belong in the league in the second half of the Bears game.
Maybe he’ll get another shot at the job this summer - or maybe not. We’ll see

Kingsbury sucks.Funny that BB’s players have had way more success as coaches than his staff. O’Connell, Vrabel, Kingsbury.
MIN was the #31 pass D at game time (now #32). We have games against the #13, 20(×2), 22, 23 & 24 pass defenses left. So there's a chance he continues to play the same. Unfortunately, those same teams are #2, 3(×2), 4, 9 & 16 in passing offenses (Pats are #20).I haven't read any of these pages...needed a break after the game. I'm sure this is probably not a popular theme right now but I think Mac played very good. I see a lot of improvement from previous games this year. IMO we will win a lot of games if he and the team continue to play the same way.
Incorrect. The ball can touch the ground AND can move. Often you hear people say it can't but that's not the rule.No catch.
The ball can hit the ground but you must maintain possession. Possession means the ball does not move.
They played maybe the worst pass defense in the league. Mac will put us in the NFL purgatory of .500 teams. You can win games with him but he will never put us over the hump.I haven't read any of these pages...needed a break after the game. And you are simply a troll (and a very good one, btw) or just another sad sack that needs another team to root for, because you are clearly not rooting for this one. It's one or the otherThere's complaining/whining and excuse making. Not sure which is worse.

Then lawrence lance wilson mac and fields should already be released because they had several games where they showed they don’t belong in this LeagueI get the feeling the real reason people want to see Zappe play is because he’s easier to like than Mac. Hill & Waddle.
Let's hope they get it all. Hopefully they have someone to replace McCourty too. And I'm still not sure about QB with Mac or Zap.Like all NFL teams, this one is not complete. It has weaknesses. This isn't a mystery. The team is talented all over the field EXCEPT for OL and LB.
Guess what? They are going to focus on bringing in OL and LBs this year.
I have a simple solution to Mac, Zappe or someone else. I’ll take whoever plays the best. I think that’s Mac but if it’s Zappe, happy to see it.Let's hope they get it all. Hopefully they have someone to replace McCourty too. And I'm still not sure about QB with Mac or Zap.
