Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

There are no scary teams but at the same time that means Tampa isn’t one either.
I'd be very scared of playing Tampa in the playoffs. Especially if my QB was Jalen Hurts.

I have a strange feeling that Tom and Bill reunite for a curtain call.
While Bill should beg Brady to come back, why would Brady do that? So he can throw to Jakobi, Jonnu and Kendrick?

I don't see it. Pats would have to upgrade the WRs and OL significantly. Harris is likely gone too. He'll want to play out his last few years with talent around him on offense.

49ers would be a much more attractive option. Maybe the Raiders but they just can't seem to get it right despite all that talent (not sure if it's coaching or what). The Bucs are obviously a strong consideration too, but I don't see how he can stand another year of Bowles' and Leftwich's horrible coaching.

Why? Would would Brady gain by doing that?
I don't think the other options will be available to him. I think Shanahan is stubborn and sticks with Lance. I would steer clear of Vegas. Maybe there's a surprise team up with Vrabel. I think Tom's time in Tampa is coming to an end -that team is eroding. I think Tom now appreciates the coaching of Bill. Troy Aikman mentioned many times he missed Jimmy Johnson. The rest of the Pats staff is trash, but they can make it work. If the Pats crash and burn in this last part of the season, I could see Bill losing patience and at least have a conversation with Tom.

If the 9ers come close like they did last year, maybe Shanahan reconsiders. But I agree, the Tackles and C need an upgrade. Strange isn't looking very good. WR's are still pedestrian and need upgrades and I do see Harris leaving. It is a lot to ask for, but I see Tom and Bill at least having a conversation.

A month ago, I would have thought it impossible but the Pats could be a QB and a couple players away from being a SB favorite.

If you're Brady, why in the world would you steer clear of Vegas? The more I think about it, the more I think how much sense it makes. They can jettison Carr for cheap dollars this offseason. He knows what he is getting in McDaniels. And Vegas has an awful lot of talent already in place, including the best WR Brady would be playing with since Randy Moss.

What if Julio stays healthy and plays well the rest of this season. You'd have to think that wherever Brady goes, Julio goes with him.

And Vegas could have a willing trade partner for Carr in the Bucs.

Brady is a free agent.
I know. I'm talking about Carr. Vegas just extended him last offseason and they'd need to find someone willing to take on his contract.

The Bucs have alot of veterans still in their prime and signed for at least 1 more year. They'll need a QB like Carr to contend if Brady left.

Right now, his contract has no guarantees beyond this season. They can cut him outright with a minimal cap hit and that's it.

I would steer clear of Vegas because Josh is not a HC. Waller is always injured. Defense is terrible.

Under no circumstances do I want the f.ucking Chiefs to win the SB. Anyone over them. Anyone.
it probably will be. ****ing BS. the league is 2008 levels of bad this year. Eagles 9-1 with a +80 and Vikings 8-2 with a -2

Mahomes losing another Super Bowl would be extremely amusing though. A big hit to his legacy. High risk high reward though. (The risk is him possibly winning it). He wins it and the Baby GOAT crap is revived with a vengeance. He loses it and the talk shifts violently to whether he can be as good as Elway. Quite a swing.

Then someone needs to tell the officials to stop ignoring the Chiefs penalties on last drives, while calling every little thing on their opponents in those same situations.

I knew it was over on that defensive holding call on Kelce.
