Is this season proof that Brady needs Belichick?

That's the bottom line?

And all the different things they do means naught?

You need to redefine two things - what bottom line means and what honest means.

A honest bottom line comparison would be Brady to Bledsoe. Same position, different results. Compare Belichick to Shula. Same position, different results.

Trying to make a comparison between Brady and Belichick is nonsense. It's anything but honest.
I didn't create the premise. Other people were suggesting Tampa Bay's struggles this season prove that Brady needs Belichick. I started the thread as a rebuttal. It's not a comparison of apples to apples or apples to oranges, it's a question of who needs who more. One way to evaluate that is to look at what each has accomplished without the other and compare those results. That's what I did.

yup, Brown, Gronk, Fournette, Godwin, Marpet, Wirfs, Jensen, White, Davis, Vea, Suh, JPP, Winfield, and Davis had nothing to do with Brady winning in 2020…
You keep adding to this list. Next time just post a link to the entire 2020 roster.

then why didn’t even win last year? why doesn’t he have his current team playing well? oh, the guys around him who carried him for the past two years aren’t playing well…got it
Again, your bar can't be win the Super Bowl every single season or you suck.

It underscores my point and that is Brady got an enormous amount of help to win the Super Bowl in 2020.

So far the 2020 Bucs were a fluke as they were not able to even get back to the SB. Very similar to the 2012 Ravens, 2014 Seahawks, and 2017 Eagles....one and done in the super bowl.

Brady still hasn't played winning football without either Belichick or Gronk...

Right, it's a team sport, it's not 1 guy vs 53. All Super Bowl championship teams had contributions from multiple different players and coaches. The question is who was the most important? And since we're talking specifically about the 2020 Bucs here, the answer is Tom Brady.

This statement makes as little sense as the first 50 times you made it. He won multiple Super Bowls without Gronk, including one with Gronk on the roster but injured. He won a Super Bowl without Belichick in his first attempt.

but you perpetuate it.
I'm not perpetuating the suggestion that this season proves Brady needs Belichick. I'm refuting it.

Amen. I said it in an earlier post:

"Anything short of a Super Bowl championship and Brady is a failure in Tampa!" - haters, 2020
"Anything short of 2 Super Bowl championships and Brady is a failure in Tampa!" - haters, 2022

The hilarious thing is that the people saying "anything short of a Super Bowl for Brady is a failure" are the same people praising Belichick for making the playoffs.

Amen. There is no single one person you can point to and say "Brady can't win without...." whether you're talking teammates, coaches or girlfriends/wives
He has some favorite talking points that he's just made up. Stawman at its finest

no one is saying that 2020 was a failure for Brady. however it looks like a fluke so far.

Mvp of the superbowl 2020, led the league in yards and touchdowns 2021, 2nd in mvp voting. Players named him the best player in the league. Lol. You do what you do. Edit: this year 2nd to only Mahomes in yards and best the td to int ratio all playing with the walking wounded.

He was not a super bowl winner in 2021 and so far he's below .500 in 2020...so the super bowl in Tampa was a one year fluke.

Perhaps if you did some research you'd know that only a small fraction of NFL players actually vote in the NFL 100 thing....something like 25%, so it's absolutely meaningless.

I will continue to do what I do and that is school you and the others.

Lol cmon man. You're not schooling anybody. Your posting history shows how big of a 180 you did when it comes to Tom once he left. You called him the GOAT in 2010 when he was unanimous MVP for godsake lol

He didn't win the superbowl in 2021. What a failure! You narrow the goal posts tighter and tighter so you can dismiss his league leading tds, yards and the 2nd in the league mvp votes. If you don't like an accomplishment, then it's a meaningless one. You find one thing he didn't do and that becomes the thing that defines him. Lol Stupid arguments don't mean you school us. You're a legend in your own mind. Brady has been a success in Tampa Bay. Jesis, apparently almost all superbowls are flukes by your stupid definition, the Rams, the Chiefs, the Eagles, the Seahawks.....oh wait Brady winning in 14, 16, 18 and 20 (being an extension of that run) kind of throws a monkey wrench in your argument. But of course you just tighten up the goal posts to completely dismiss his high level of play in 20 and 21. This year so far doesn't erace anything.

Brady has won 33% of Super Bowls since 2001... second is 9.5%... and if the Bucs don't win the SB this season then Brady will be right at that 33% in Tampa Bay.
Brady has won 24% of Super Bowl MVPs since 2001... second is 4.8%.
Brady has a game-winning drive in each NE's Super Bowl wins (6).
Since entering the league Brady leads the NFL in TDs, passing yards, game-winning drives, fourth quarter comebacks, regular season wins, postseason wins, and Super Bowl wins... all those accomplishments flukes as well?

Who is the moron calling Brady's accomplishments a "fluke"...?!? (no don't tell me.... only one person in this forum could be that stupid....)

If Tom Brady winning 1 Super Bowl in 3 years in Tampa Bay is a "fluke" then every single QB that ever won a Super Bowl - no matter how many - is also a "fluke".

I'm saying the Leftwich more than likely will not stand up Brady and more likely will rubber stamp everything Brady wants to do offensively. Much like the folks on Bill's staff now. Who is there that will stand up to Bill and tell him he's wrong?

Bowles sucks. He's a fine defense coordinator.

So you think Brady is calling all the runs on first and second down

You forgot most super bowl losses for a QB in the past 20 years and second most all-time. And why did it take Brady 21 years to get the most GWDs and 4th quarter comebacks, while it took Peyton 17?

No, I am calling his super bowl 2020 a fluke. This year proves it.

Can't lose a superbowl if you don't make em. Lol, stupid arguments are your idea of schooling us?

I never understood the idiotic argument that it is better to lose early in the playoffs than late in the playoffs.

According to that logic, Brady had a great season last year. After all, he didn't lose a Super Bowl.

Don't you see how it works? Anything short of winning a Super Bowl and Tom Brady sucks. And even when he does win Super Bowls, he still sucks because it was all just a fluke.
