Player Signing Patriots to sign Jamie Collins

Can't wait to see Tavai and Collins on the field together!
Opposing Offenses share your sentiments: sad thing is we don't have an Offense that can keep up. :(

Yup, a lot of us complained about all of these jags but were told Bill knew what he was doing. Same with Mitchell (CB) who fortunately got shipped out. They need to can Tavai next.

10/03: Signed LB Jamie Collins Sr to the Practice Squad and release LB Harvey Langi from the Practice Squad.

What are the odds Langi is signed back. Another jag.

You'd think Steve would've had a talk with his Dad and told him he needs more talent on that side of the ball. I guess not.

He did & Bill listened but the GM overruled them.

Before the draft, many of us identified linebacker as a big need.

The Patriots didn't draft a single linebacker in the 2022 NFL draft, instead they drafted an offensive guard in round 1.

If they had stayed put they could have drafted this guy at #27 LB Devin Lloyd.

Lloyd already has 38 combined tackles, 2 INTs, and 6 pass deflections through 4 games.

Damn, another one that got away!

Great job there, BB!

Kind of a bummer that Mcmillan and Wilson haven't worked out, not even sure if Perkins still has a locker.
Jamie is really athletic, but seems to just disappear for games at a time.
Where have you been? Perkins was IRed on 8/23. He's season was over before it started.

Not sure what you were expecting from McMillan (recovering from ACL) or Wilson (1st year in the defense), but they've played decently enough.

Don’t expect much from BB in the draft, he always passes up the most talented players

McMillan and Wilson were available for cheap for a reason. Peppers too. After 3 years in the league if a player has not popped, they rarely do. A few do- Nink, Vrabel, etc., but it is rare. Uche and Perkins look doubtful.

Strange, Jones, Jones, Thornton, and the other rookies can be binkies :)

Peppers was cheap b/c he is 1 year removed from a serious knee injury. Overall hes been fine as a reserve.

I have been advocating for the younger guys to play but it looks like they straight up can't. Pretty sure we can close the books on Uche ever being anything outside of a guy you throw out there in third and long pass rush situations. Mack Wilson is another player that can have a relatively small role and McMillian seems to be a worse version of Jawhaun Bentley. Jennings won't even be on the team this point next year and Ronnie Perkins may not even exist. With all this being said I don’t think think Jamie Collins is any real upgrade and it worries me that this rebuild seems to be delayed by the fact that we have made some pretty bad draft picks the last few years and still have the 5th oldest roster in the league.

Those disappointing First Round Draft picks really hurt Wynn - Michel - Harry none are anything good note I didn't say special. Ronnie Perkins was playing against guys bagging groceries now and was getting pushed all over the field...Next!
