Uche is fine as the #3 OLB, with Judon and Jennings get almost all the reps.

Unfortunately, I disagree.Solid depth I guess, nothing more than that.
Tavai played 75% of the D snaps!Agreed.
However, the problem is not with STer and emergency backup Tavai. The problem is with McMillan, Wilson, (and McGrone).
What is your point?Tavai played 75% of the D snaps!
He led the Lions in tackles the year before last... one season removed... but be dramatic and engage in extreme (outright wrong) hyperbole. He missed some games on the IR last year and joined this team midseason.Yeah. It's so f'in legit to spazz like you are over stats from 3 years ago as if they have ANY impact today. Collins, for all his athleticism never figured out how to cover TEs. Had he been able to cover them in 2015 against Denver, we'd have beaten them despite all the injuries.
He led them in tackles, but their best defender was the problem... great analysis.Collins was one of many horrible pieces on a horrible 2020 Detroit team. Collins did jack squat outside of 2 plays last year. He was responsible for one of the blocked punts against Bailey last year as well.
He led his team in tackles the year before last... you lied above and said it happened three years ago. So your entire premise is bllsht. But you go ahead an yammer on about BS that has ZERO bearing on what he's done in the last 2 years..
The 2019 defense was ranked #1 in just about every stat they tally, the offense was ranked 17th in points and collapsed down the stretch. Again... blaming the best part of a team for the failure of the worst.BTW, Since you've forgotten. That 2019 defense s**t the bed in the 2nd half of the season. The horrible play of him and Van Noy was directly (not solely) responsible for the Patriots finishing the season 4-5 (including the play-off loss). Such a great defense that they went from giving up 61 points in the first 8 games (7.625 PPG) to 164 points over the last 8 games (20.5 PPG). So spare everyone the attempt at re-writing history. Collins crappy play is well documented.
He led his team in tackles the year before last and was injured last year... one year isn't ancient history.Ancient history.
Cam Newton is still available. He's a former MVP, don't you know.
Uche is fine with a very minor role in a rotational pass rusher situation but I think we were all hoping he would be more by now as a second round pick in his third year. I think he will be battling for a roster spot next August. As for Jennings he still isn't playing all that much. He was a healthy scratch week one and played his season high for snaps at 38% against Green Bay.Uche is fine as the #3 OLB, with Judon and Jennings get almost all the reps.
My point is Tavai shouldn't be playing 5% of D snaps nvm 75%. Dude is a jag and sucks. But I guess he's all we got? Wow.What is your point?
Tavai is currently our #2 ILB.
Bentley played 93% of the snaps, and Tavai 75% as you said. Wilson played 14% and McMillan 0%.
Collins was an All Pro/Pro Bowler and led this team in every stat imaginable in 2019 including tackles, solo tackles, tackles for a loss, forced fumbles and was third in interceptions on the #1 ranked defense in the league… but he’s crap. I want to understand how that works?
He led his team in tackles in 2014, 2015, 2016 until he was traded, 2018 on the Browns, 2019 back on the Patriots, and 2020 on the Lions, 6 times on three different teams….. but he’s crap.
Sounds legit...
If "doing your job" is Sucking, then you're right.Bentley is doing his job as one of the 3 MLB's. As you say, Wilson and McMillan haven't stepped up.
IMO, Tavai is also doing his job as a STer and an emergency #7 LB. It is NOT his fault that the top six aren't enough to keep his reps to a very, very low amount
(Judon, Jennings, Uche, Bentley, McMillan and Wilson)
Uche is fine as the #3 OLB, with Judon and Jennings get almost all the reps.
Yeah I don't get the Collins love either if I'm the Offense I am sending my receiving RB and TE in Collins direction. Hope he make the tackle 15 yards downfield to pad his stats.Yeah. It's so f'in legit to spazz like you are over stats from 3 years ago as if they have ANY impact today. Collins, for all his athleticism never figured out how to cover TEs. Tavai played 75% of the D snaps!
Does -1% defensive snaps mean 1% offensive snaps? Maybe he can play fullback. That's 76% too many.
Just to give some perspective on Patriots 2nd round pick Josh Uche. As a linebacker for 25 games he has made a total of 23 combined tackles... in 3 YEARS.Uche is NOT FINE, IN ANY CAPACITY ANYWHERE. PERIOD.
Alight so he looks a little like Van Noy but that's it.
Ouch! its' the Big one the Big one Elizabeth I'm coming to join you honey.Just to give some perspective on Patriots 2nd round pick Josh Uche. As a linebacker he has made a total of 23 combined tackles... in 3 YEARS.
Meanwhile rookie of the month Devin Lloyd, the guy we passed on to take an OG in round 1, well he's made 38 combined tackles... in 1 month!!!
