I was a college athlete. I’ve had bad high ankle sprains. Annoying long term painful injury but mac’s reactions was ridiculously over the top. It’s not unbearable pain in the moment where he had to make those agonizing faces and blood curling screams lol

At least he didn't flop on the ground and leave the field on a stretcher with a minor injury like Paula Pierce.

Not exactly a high bar, but it's all I've got. I wonder (HOPE) his reaction was amplified because of frustration (INT's and knowing he was going to be out for a while).

When Dak Prescott's ankle looked like it was made of jello instead of bone, he didn't scream. I would have been calling for my mommy

I mean if we're being honest not a great comparison Paul Pierce is pretty damn tough don't forget he was stabbed a bunch of times.

As for the wheelchair incident supposedly it was because he had to go to the bathroom lol.

I'm not going to deny that's spraining your ankle is painful but looking at his reaction I thought he tore his Achilles or ACL

lol agree. There are definitely some winnable games in the next month and a half. After GB we have:

-Lions
-Browns
-Bears
-Jets
-Colts
-Jets
-Vikings
-Bills
-Cardinals

A lot of winnable games in that schedule. No reason we can't get to at least 7 wins from this group.
I did the whole "alright which games could we win" after week 2 and came away with 7-2 during that stretch. Then I thought well, how many do I think we could win if I was a fan of the other team. 0-9 lol.

My way of saying, we're now the team everyone else sees on the schedule and chalks it up as a should-win

This looks like a level 3 sprain. That means the tendon has been torn. You can't walk on a level 3 sprain. Seeing that Mac could not walk on it, even when they brought him into the locker room, leads me to believe that.
There is a good chance that he may need surgery.
I'm not a doctor. I haven't examined Mac. However I have learned more about ankle sprains from orthopedic surgeons than I ever thought that I would.

It’s just football, dude. No need to take it so seriously.

I am not taking it seriously. But I think I can speak for most of the people here. We are all sick of the Team Brady/Team Belichick war BS. It is three years later. Let it go. Root for Brady if you want. Hate Belichick. We are all just tired of the bickering and smugness of people here in any misery this team has because they want to be right that Belichick either is a fraud or just a product of Brady. Just take it to another board.

Half the board clutches their pearls if someone brings up Bill's record without Brady. It doesn't take much to get the Bill honks going.

Thank you for proving my point. Not in the way you think.

It is three years later. Maybe you should give the "Belichick's record without Brady" thing a rest already.

We can never know for sure what it felt like on Mac's end but you're probably right.

I've had a high ankle spiral fracture from a drunk person falling on my leg sideways (would have probably looked similar to Mac's injury if it was on video). It hurt, I hopped around on one foot, but no screaming or wincing. But then I was also several drinks in too.

Surprised Mac is doing a conference call today. Do these reporters think Mac's going to reveal any specifics.

Getting stabbed doesn't make you tough, just unlucky. Paula was a prima donna, but then that's half the NBA.

I too thought the injury was much worse because of his reaction.

I have broken bones, torn ligaments, and done other damage. The most painful injury I ever had was dislocating a kneecap. It didn't do much damage at all. But damn right I yelled

You know why those half dozen threads dont carry that type of baggage? because those threads are about football, unlike this one which quickly turned... you know, your posts, venecols posts, etc... the usual Tampa Bro squad

So Yes, let us indeed focus on a couple of posters who hopped right in and crapped all over an injured player...

I will start with you... What the **** was that all about, those ***** ass snarky comments about Macs injuries? oh and in case I forget Let me be specific - Oh wait I cant - because a metric **** ton of your posts in this thread have been deleted

gee I wonder why ... so pardon me, because I dont mean to be rude because i like you and mostly when you talk about football you say good things - but gtfo with that "so put upon just because we root for another team" attitude ... Its beyond tiresome watching you guys do the same **** in thread after thread
I like your style Pape

In 7th grade this 200 pound obese black girl was picking on me about my highwater jeans. I told her to shut up. She slapped me. I punched her in the face.

The following 30 second beatdown she gave me was the most pain I've ever felt in my life. Not physical pain. The pain to my soul.

...

Anyways yeah speedy recovery Mac!
