Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Injuries happen in football, and no position, or style of play, is immune. But Lance's injury once again demonstrates the extra danger of relying on a running QB.
Even for a bigger guy like Allen, running QBs are an injury waiting to happen.

I thought Lance would be a dud but he can't even be properly evaluated after just 1 game. JG is getting shortchanged as a starter getting backup money.

They become pocket QBs in their 30s if they can make it that far. Roethlisberger was much like Allen his 1st few years. I don't think Wilson can move around like he use to.

Kicking Arians off the sideline and possibly out of the stadium is doing the Bucs a favor.

Anyway the NFL will definitely suspend Evans for the game against St. Aaron.

Not exactly chatty Cathy today

Between screaming at his players (deservedly), throwing his game tablet (a move taught by BB), on the bench pouting, instigating a brawl and an all too brief post game blowoff, Grumpy McGrumpface from 2019 is BACK Baby!

Was it a big part of the scoring problem, in your opinion, or just one among others?
Miller was awful as described. A drive killer.
I took a discounted deal on NFL+ to stream the game & used my Apple TV to throw it up on the TV for wife. Will use to watch Pats games once in FL.

So Arians is now a paid chronic irritant? LOL. Florio stirring the pot for nothing again.
Why is Arians on the field? Just ridiculous...

I tried to tell you Bucs fans that Easy Chair Arians would not take well to being fired by Brady and kicked upstairs as a face-saving move. He already began undermining the coaching staff during training camp when he was on the field coaching players. The guy still thinks he should be head coach and can't help himself, now this.

Seeing Arians down there acting as he did was a tad strange. He is a front office guy now, not a part of the coaching staff. And while we've seen front office guys (not to mention ownership) on the sidelines before, they tend to be dressed more professionally and they stay in the background. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was a typical scene of an HC arguing with the refs

His post-game press conference was fine. He was polite enough and answered the questions. It's all bullsh*t questions and answers anyway.

But yes, he was losing his mind a bit during the game. The Saints defense just gives them major problems but the offense is mess right now so I can understand Brady's frustration. They need Godwin back asap... he's their best receiver by far in my opinion. I like Evans too but he just doesn't possess the versatility of Godwin. Evans may be facing a suspension now too, which obviously is poor timing, perhaps he can appeal and drag it out for a couple of weeks. The reality on Julio Jones is he can't stay healthy anymore... how many games is he going to play?... 8? 12 max. None of which he'll be 100%. Gage isn't clicking with the offense yet. Not sure what happened to Scotty Miller, he was a nice weapon for Brady in 2020, now he looks like a clown. The offense is lacking a receiving TE and a 3rd down type receiving RB. To this point, and granted it's only week two, but the offense doesn't look like it's going to be as explosive as the last two seasons. Defense looks great though... going to need their best effort over the next two weeks. The schedule lightens up considerably starting week 5 with Atlanta.

That was a pretty significant win IMO. With so many picking against the Bucs and rightfully so given their history with New Orleans, that was a hard fought game where the Bucs were the tougher team who came up with the big plays in the fourth to win the game. I see it as a real tone setter for the season that should given them a lot of confidence. 2-0 in the division, already in command and now has GB coming in who they match up with well. If they end up 3-0 that will be huge especially given the injuries to the O. I have to say I love the grit of this team. Shades of 2020.

Oh man. That seems excessive.
Nah second time he does the same thing.

Gronk got a game I think for the White hit if I'm not mistaken back in 2017

Again, Brady was totally right about Arians being a total clown.

And I wasn’t aware of the former fight and suspension with Evans. The league couldn’t not suspend him here as much as it sucks.

Man when you post something I agree with it means we probably both need to take a break.

Yeah he did the same thing to Lattimore

Looks like he was forced on the sidelines by the Saints. They didn't provide any boxes for the Bucs front office staff... What a bunch of clowns.
