...I went heavy on the special teamers. Wade over Bryant to add some height to our CB corps.
Hope that Ray, McGrone, Humphry, Rousey, Hambright, Anderson, Bryant among others land on the PS.

All three of Bedsore, Schooler & Cody Davis are Two too many.

Since when does BB carry the whole rookie class. .
How often does Belichick cut a rookie drafted in the first four rounds before Game 1?

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER

I believe Kareem Brown was the closest. I think that he was cut after Game 4.

If we trade Wynn and move onwenu to right tackle, maybe we could pick up offensive guard powers of Baltimore or scrarping of Houston to fill in the right guard hole.

Along with Slater & Bethel...and that's It.

Everybody else has to also be a viable position player.
In addition to specialists, you want 3 players that are here to play ST's.

Every year, Belichick has more.

Let's look at some of the 2021 players that had no chance to make the team except for ST's.
AS YOU SAID
1) Slater
2) Bethel
3) Davis
===================
SOME OTHERS
4) King (70% of the ST snaps)
5) Olszewski (48% if ST reps); and no his couple of reps at WR count about as much as those as Slater.
6) Tavia (44% of ST reps; I think that was replaced by Langi)
7) Bolden (this is a bit more controversial, but I think that Bolden made the team as a STer and then beat out Taylor for backup RB reps)
===========
Ten STers is a lot, and that doesn't include key starters like Guy on ST's.
===========
An example from 2022 is Bryant. He should have no place on the 53, unless he makes the team as our punt returner. Wade is clearly more talented. Humphrey may even make the team as a gunner, and would get no more reps at WR than Olszewki did in 2021.

.
QB (3) M.Jones, B.Hoyer, B.Zappe

Total players: 53
Created with Pats Picker: Pats Picker 2022

THE LAST THREE CHOICES
51) ST Bryant
52) ST Tavai
53) ST Humphrey

I left Ekuale's roster spot open. This is the best time to try to get all our backup DT's on the Practice Squad (and activate one for Game Day).
As I said in my last post, Belichick usually has more STO's players than we do. I would expect/hope that these last three would get ZERO positional snaps, except perhaps in garbage time (same for Slater, Bethel and Davis).

I have no idea....

I can easily see 5-10 players i've chosen cut/traded/PS/IR'd

QB (3) M.Jones, B.Hoyer, B.Zappe
RB (4) D.Harris, R.Stevenson, T.Montgomery, P.Strong
WR (6) J.Meyers, D.Parker, K.Bourne, T.Thornton, M.Slater, N.Agholor
TE (3) H.Henry, J.Smith, L.Humphrey
C (2) D.Andrews, K.Russey
G (3) M.Onwenu, A.Hambright, C.Strange
T (3) I.Wynn, Y.Cajuste, T.Brown
DE (2) D.Wise, H.Anderson
DT (5) L.Guy, C.Barmore, S.Roberts, C.Davis, D.Godchaux
ILB(4) M.Wilson, R.McMillan, J.Tavai, J.Bentley
OLB(3) M.Judon, J.Uche, A.Jennings
CB (6) J.Mills, M.Jones, Ja.Jones, S.Wade, M.Bryant, Jo.Jones
SS (3) K.Dugger, A.Phillips, J.Bledsoe
FS (3) D.McCourty, J.Bethel, J.Peppers
ST (3) N.Folk, J.Bailey, J.Cardona

For me, it's going to be fascinating to see if they keep both Asiasi and Lil Jordan. I have a feeling that it's one or the other.

Also believe that Ray is on the roster, would like to see Roberts make it as well. I'm not sure Anderson makes it.

I also think the last cb spot comes down to Wade and Mitchell. Tonight will be telling.

O-line depth, we'll see if Ferentz makes it over younger guys like Russey and Hines.

Unfortunately, it's trending that Tavai is going to be on the team...hopefully he sees limited action on defense.

I'd love to see Bledsoe make it, he's had a really good camp.

The last 3-4 roster spots are going to be very, very difficult this year.

Expect 1 surprise cut.

I think Schooler, Russey, and Ray will all make the team, but I had trouble fitting all three onto the 53 man. I wonder how many of those guys would slide onto the practice squad.

With the depth at corner, receiver and running back, I'm hoping for a trade that nets a draft pick and allows the Pats to keep a good player they would have had to otherwise cut.

I think Schooler is making the 53 over Davis. I prefer Russey over Ferentz...we'll see. Someone will snatch Roberts and / or Ray from the PS IMO.

"Thanks Dad Ferentz" roster luck have ran out should have been sooner before he knock-out T Thornton.

Really didn't want us carrying Three QB's but Zappe ain't ready for prime time. Really hope we get some of those guys for our Practice Squad such as K Wilkerson - T Nixon and others.

My opinion is...if we aren't going to win with Hoyer (last time he actually helped a team to win a game by playing was 2016)...then why not have Zappe on the 53 instead.

Lol, Ferentz will be worth keeping an eye on this next week!! Didn't realize he was another one of your binkies like Keene Now you know I will be watching him closely!!!

Seems like overkill @ RB now especially with Kevin Harris don't know where to put him on the final roster. Might see certain guys pulling up with some mysterious injuring tonight or guys getting hurt during our last practices.

Agree. Mitchell has been very impressive, but there's too much of a log jam and I think they'd be able to get him on the Practice Squad.

Ray and Schooler I think are on. Russey is interesting, a gun to my head, I would he's on but that's a situation worth monitoring.

Even though my heart prefers Lil Jordan Humph it really makes sense to carry Devin Asiasi he's built like a prototypical TE which helps in Tough Running situations.
