Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Sure his future is bright but I would not rank him over Brady. Brady had a much better season than him last year.
That's why MVPs are useless. They're political, just like the HOF. Rodgers is the current version of Manning, only with enemas instead of PEDs.

I can see basically every young elite QB in the league right now breaking through and winning a ring but never managing to win another. Not only do I think that dynasties are dead but multiple championships period might be out the window. The NFL seems to have achieved its dreamt up level of parity.
The NYFL hasn't reached parity. It's more like parody. The season is months away and most of us can already tell with some certainty which teams will be in the playoffs.

I mean 14 teams make the playoffs now so that’s not that hard.

Gronkowski’s girlfriend Camille Kostek spoke to reporters before a Sports Illustrated swimsuit fashion show over the weekend and the topic of her boyfriend’s future was on the list of topics. Kostek noted that both Gronkowski and Brady have unretired in the past while sharing her view that Gronkowski isn’t as done with football as he claims to be.

“I am a honest lady, and honestly, I don’t feel like this one is the forever one,” Kostek said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “So, I think maybe he’ll come back again. I feel like him and Tom are just having fun, like, ‘retired, not retired, retired, not retired.'”

Lol I'm a forever fan of both of them but that retiring and un retiring is annoying.

I remember that clip of Gronk in (I think) a barber shop, where he was talking about how he was going to screw with Brady for a while, but would probably return. So I'm not putting anything past Gronk on this.

had a shot at tickets for the buccs seahawks game in munich but over 750k guys in the queu and black market starts at 730 Euros

Ranking the Active NFL Hall of Fame Candidates

Tier 2 – Borderline Hall of Fame Locks
These individuals will almost certainly end up in Canton based on their trajectory, but most are putting the finishing touches on their HOF resumes. Others in this category may take a few years to get in due to stiff competition. Still, we strongly anticipate the members of this group to be giving speeches in Canton before it’s all said and done.

Andy Reid – Head Coach

Calais Campbell – DT

Cameron Jordan – DE

Chris Harris Jr – CB

Fletcher Cox – DT

Jason Kelce – OG

Jimmy Graham – TE

Julio Jones – WR

Justin Tucker – K

Matt Ryan – QB

Matthew Stafford – QB

Mickey Loomis – GM

Mike Evans – WR

Mike Tomlin – Head Coach

Ndamukong Suh – DT

Pete Carroll – Head Coach

Russell Wilson – QB

Trent Williams – OT

Tyrann Mathieu – S

Zack Martin – OG

Interesting lists.

Tier 1. The Hall of fame locks are pretty easy to agree with.

Tier 2 and Tier 3 gets tricky.

I think maybe half of the Tier 2 guys should be in Tier 3 "strong HOF possibility" as they still have a lot to do to be a near lock for the HOF.

Are Stafford, Ryan, Wilson really near HOF locks?

The lists has Evans ahead of Devante Adams and Hopkins. He's got a good chance to HOF if he stays ahead of them as they are his peers. But if he only has this good season and then drops off the following years, it's not even good enough to be in Tier 3.

It's not a guarantee that Evans will have multiple strong seasons as the article assumes. Edelman would probably have been in Tier 3 with a couple more strong seasons and a strong playoff.

Suh on the other hand could retire tomorrow and remain in Tier 2.

I would think Wilson is clearly ahead of Stafford and Ryan.

Ryan has made the playoffs in 6/14 seasons. Stafford has in 4/13 or 4/11 if you give him mulligans for his first 2 injury plagued seasons. Given that 6/16 teams made the playoffs for most of their careers is that really HOF worthy, when you are barely making the platoffs more than an average team(or in Staffords case barely hitting average)?

Whereas Wilson is at 8/10.

Lmao oh my god Kyler Murray got a new contract with $46.1 million AAV and $160 million guaranteed.

Given the insane amount of money QBs are making now, I wonder if Mrs. Brady is rethinking her hostility towards the idea of her husband continuing with his NFL career after this season.
