We should have 3 third round picks next year, with our pick, the Carolina pick & the comp pick for losing JC Jackson
No. The Patriots traded their 3rd round pick next year as part of the Parker deal.

Sorry he reminds you of Ellis Hobbs. He kind of reminds me more of a cross between Tyrann Mathieu and Steve Smith.
steve smith is a WR...Mathieu is a safety...why do I say Hobbs?? BECAUSE HE WAS A STARTER!!! AND BURNED LIKE A BIATCH ON SOUTH BEACH IN JULY!!!...oh but he's a PUNT RETURNER TOO! Yay!!! OK...let's see...we wanted a sideline to sideline LB in this draft with TONS of players that fit that profile...ZIPPO...we wanted a corner to replace JJ...our new punt returner AIN'T IT. We needed an offensive TACKLE to replace the often injured duo we have this season. ZEROSKI. Other teams hit it HUGE with multiple quality picks...we dipped into the staggering Tenn/Chattanooga conference while the rest of the NFL went beserk in a feeding frenzy of SEC players...why? BECAUSE THE WHOLE FREAKING WORLD KNOWS THE SEC IS WHERE THE ELITE PLAYERS COME FROM!!! But not us...nah...too obvious I guess. The Bills will F stomp the crap out of our D this season...worse than last. Krist...

That’s your rebuttal? A once in a century pick?
Yep, Richard Sherman, George Kittle, TyreekHill, Diggs, Mathew Slater, Robert Mathis, Zach Thomas, Rodney Harrison? Is that better for you?

No. The Patriots traded their 3rd round pick next year as part of the Parker deal.

Your right - Thank you
Forgot about that.
Really glad we got that 3rd back

I swear to god I was just trying to find the injuries that had nakobe dean's draft stock falling and I stumbled on someone named alica schmidt who is a combo track star/supermodel. Then I went to the bathroom looked in the mirror and said out loud "same species my ass."
Definitely a higher life form

How many times have you seen him play, not counting the youtube clips that you just watched? Also, perhaps you forgot what Isaiah McKenzie did to them last year? or does that not fit your argument so you ignored it?
Fit my argument????? You seriously telling me this kid is going to match up with Diggs??? Keep up with Hill OR Waddle? How many times have YOU seen him play besides youtubes? He's a SMURF.Third round? Please...

He's a physical corner with good coverage skills. The bigger question might be his health, but the overall scouting grades are surprisingly good. I don't know if the same could be said for Hobbs (I wasn't a fan either) but I'll have to go back and look. But it's not a horrible pick - along with the fact he's one of the best returners in the country, which they obviously also need.

Collecting future trade assets to complement loads of cap to make moves on high end vets in 2023 (or earlier if opportunity knocks)

We have 7 picks for day 3.
We are not going to draft 7 more players.
We will either package some to move up
Or trade them for picks next year.

I expect another 4 players in the draft before UDFA time.
Trade-out is my MAN...

The beauty part about trading out is that you always get two hamburgers tomorrow for a hamburger today... and (maybe) bonus this year especially, this is supposed to be a relatively crappy draft class, although I don't know how deep those characterizations go, once you're in the working-class rounds.

And I believe Jonathan Jones did a good job keeping up with Hill if I remember correctly and his stock was rising prior to getting hurt.

With those skills, speed, and background, I wonder if he'll see some use in the slot

Oh for fs sake the 72 dolphins

Don't like to assume anything, but that is probably correct.
There's an actual formula that's published by the NFL. While it is technically possible that the Pats won't get those picks, it's nearly certain at this point.
