It's easy, and only takes a few moments. He broke the coach's code because he laughed at a guy BB picked #29 in round 1 that he had valued at pick #104 instead? What? How is that breaking some mystical coach's code? Just sounds like he was honestly shocked at the REACH!Mcvay is a ****y POS who just broke the coaches code. BB will remember
I understand, it’s embarrassing to be outed, so you can only attack. If only you were mature. How’s Bill’s tighty whities smelling these days?
I was thinking Hill or Jones...maybe Booth.Allow me to tell you you know just as much as I do about who will be good and who won’t.
Sincerely a guy who would rather take a chance on an impact position and fail than hit at a position that has minimal upside over a mid to late rounder.
I. Really. Don’t. Get. It.
Just a reminder that Sean McVay has not made a single first round pick selection with the Rams in his tenure.
Tavon Wilson? And the Jordan Richards pick arguably cost the Patriots a Super Bowl, since he played meaningful minutes that year and looked awful against the Eagles. I doubt that happens with Cole Strange. Richards was taken 3-4 rounds too early. Strange was taken 1.5 to 2.5 rounds too early.Tavon Austin and Jordan Richards rolling in their graves didn't think any Reach could top them.
But there are very real needs on defense and this player would have likely been available laterOr it could’ve been that the scouts all really liked Strange, Bill felt the need at guard was really important and he said let’s just take him. He may not care that much if it’s a round and a half early, he got a guy that his scouts graded highly at a position of need.
Despite putting too much time in the process . we still have no idea of the value.
You'd probably be the same meh if Pats chose Thuney with #29 after a trade down . now in hindsight - what would be the real value of that?
Im happy with the pick - it was always OL for me - have put him on my list of “picks that makes sense“ in the first 2 rounds.
Legit prospect to play all 5 positions at NFL level - his starting point being what he mostly played and what Pats need now - LG.
And lets revisit who is a better/more valuable player - Cole or Zion - in 5 years..
Yet the guys they do draft seem to be contributors and they have been to two Super Bowls and won one in the last 4 years.Just a reminder that Sean McVay has not made a single first round pick selection with the Rams in his tenure.
Thanks. After reading that I can see why BB liked him enough to grab him instead of taking the chance he’d get away. His stock was strong, and rising. I’m not convinced he’d still be on the board at 54. But what really matters is whether Bill thought he’d still be there.Cole Strange Stays Confident, But Humble As His NFL Draft Stock Has Skyrocketed
While Strange has enjoyed his rise in attention, it's also a position he always saw himself in during his time with the Mocs.herosports.com
Strange has knocked the process out of the park. He is a draft lock at this point. Signs are strong that a Day 2 selection is on the table as the buzz around his name hits its peak shortly before the draft.
This is the first time I've criticized a Pats pick.no need for scouting and the actual draft because the mocks make all the important decisions
Says the guy who started it. Go away Andy.I understand, it’s embarrassing to be outed, so you can only attack. If only you were mature.
31 reps on the bench does not make him a player. We had a tackle years ago that had
40+ Reps & he sucked.
NKeal Harry pick is a way better decision than this because Bill targeted the right position at the time just misfired on the player. This is one is just total WTFLet look on the bright side.
The N’Keal Harry pick does not look so bad anymore
That I agree with. Once BB sees that clip, he might go full Mangini on him. Will be interesting to see when they play each other next, that’s not until 2024 though unless it’s the Super Bowl.Mcvay is a ****y POS who just broke the coaches code. BB will remember
I can't imagine being a TV watcher these days. You just pay to get bombarded with ads non-stop.
certainly possible that he was aware of another teams interest in early 2nd round. He should pick the highest player on his board and not give a **** about what mediates or pats fans.com has to say.I didn't mind the trade down. There were plenty of good players on the board at 29 but this pick is just gross. He could be a good guard but the point is you could have had him at 54 for certain. Just bad value. Trade your starting guard for a 5th and replace him with a 1st rounder is bad enough. When you could have got the guy 50 picks later, it's almost laughable.
I've defended a few Bill draft picks in the past but with where we are in the AFC we really needed to maximise the value of our picks and we haven't done that.
Rob a horrible Reach is a horrible Reach... Jordan Richards and Tavon Austin levels. Even Stevie Wonder can see that. Somebody should tell BB that Brady plays for the Bucs Senior moment selection.I can’t predict players for crap, but I certainly can predict fan reactions because it is always the same every year. Pats fans almost always hate the first round pick.
So tomorrow the Pats are likely to pick a player in the second round or third round that people will feel he is a round higher value because there is always a player they feel is drafted a round too early and other that is drafted a round lower than he should go in the first three four rounds. Strange is the guy people feel should have gone a round later. So they could draft someone like Dean in the second round.
