Regardless how he turns out, it’s not a good pick. In this day of the nfl, you need to grab those high dollar guys that you can lock down on a contract for x amount of years. A soon to be 24 year old guard, to fill a hole you created yourself to free up some cap space….. it’s asinine. He could be the next great guard, won’t matter. The Pats can get solid play from later rd guys or any of the guys they have on the damn team already.

I hate this pick. Now if we took him in the second or third round then yes I’d love it and think it’s a great pick and great value.

Especially when there’s Dean, Travis Jones, Booth, Dax Hill who were all still available and all would fill a need and would of made sense taking in the first, but to take a guard whose a second rounder or third rounder is just poor value in my opinion and I don’t understand what the process and decision making was.

Even if he turns out to be an absolute stud and dominates I just don’t get it.

Awful pick, they Picked a third rounder at best in the first round.

So many decent defensive players still available, and they take a stiff that nobody has ever heard of.

I’m not disagreeing. Only way this isn’t a total bust is if he ends up as good as Mason and thuney who in a redraft would’ve been 1st rounders in their respectively draft years.

Nobody got anything on this guy because he is a nobody and won’t be an impact player anytime soon. I don’t expect to see much of this guy this upcoming season.

Kraft needs to hire a real gm. BB coach/GM hasn’t worked out in a long time.

Kraft has a say in this, he could veto Bill. He didn’t. This was an unquestionably bad pick.

I can’t predict players for crap, but I certainly can predict fan reactions because it is always the same every year. Pats fans almost always hate the first round pick.

So tomorrow the Pats are likely to pick a player in the second round or third round that people will feel he is a round higher value because there is always a player they feel is drafted a round too early and other that is drafted a round lower than he should go in the first three four rounds. Strange is the guy people feel should have gone a round later. So they could draft someone like Dean in the second round.

Well it looks like we got 2 thirds & a fourth for our 1st round pick after picking a 3rd
Round talent in the first round.

we do not know for certainty when he would be picked. They probbaly tried to trade back but no takers.
This is clearly not going to be a transformational draft....and pats will still be without elite playmakers. They could finish 3rd or fourth in division. Get used to it for next couple of years
