Three years later, I figured most people would have moved on by now. I guess not.

Agreed. At this point our defense isn’t good enough to carry Mac like it did Tommy during the early dynasty years….we need weapons
You just can't help yourself... completely obsessed with discrediting Brady. It's not working.

According to Jeff Darlington Samuel has no interest in even starting negotiations with SF on a long term deal. They may have no choice but to move him.
There's no replacing Samuel... maybe Jameson Williams but currently SF doesn't have a draft pick until #61. Williams won't be available at #61 or even at #21 (Patriots). The Jets can offer #4 where SF can take Williams. Still, if I'm SF, Samuel is worth more than just one 1st rounder... Samuel for the Jets #4 and #35 is fair. However, if Samuel has any control over where he lands then I would think he'd exclude NYJ.

It is obvious and it isn’t Miami. New head coach, being sued, Tua very likely say less than Jones…
The obvious part is about the location and not the team. I also doubt if Hill cares at all about the lawsuit.

Before he was the GOAT, Tom Brady WAS Mac Jones. A quality game manager with a mediocre arm and good field processing skills. Amazing how people forget just how many years it was before Brady morphed into the strong armed QB who can carry a team on his back. He was a good 6 or 7 years into his career before the onus of being a "game manager" was past.

I just expect Jones to get incrementally better every year and see where that puts him when HE's 6 or 7 years into his career.
We're giving Mac 6 or 7 years to prove himself? Not me, he has to be playing consistent franchise quarterback level by 2023. Also Brady was a HOFer by the conclusion of the 2004 season when he was a 3-time Super Bowl winner with 2 SB MVPs. He was getting significant league MVP votes in 2003 and 2005... he had led the NFL in TDs and passing yards by 2005 as well... he wasn't just a "game manager" in the earlier part of his career.

Brady's still playing. It's a fluid debate until Brady and Belichick are retired. It's what a lot of people find interesting and are passionate about. It seeps into a variety of threads because you have people like MAC10 saying stupid things like Brady was Trent Dilfer for the first half of his career.

Well except that prime Gronk was basically the best receiving TE in NFL history.
Yea not a perfect analogy but the point is that he wants to forgo one of the biggest components of his game.

No chit. These guys are ruining the board and running people off left and right. I have about had it with it.

Seeped into this thread because someone took shots at Mac Jones.

People, this is New England. We obsessed over Babe Ruth for almost a century after he left. So expect the same with regards to Tom Brady (the Babe Ruth of football). This conversation ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

TE’s block, so using Gronk wasn’t the best analogy.

Debo is certainly not in the wrong to not want to take anymore carries. 99.9% of the time, WR’s are not taking handoffs like a RB unless they are end arounds. And frankly, I have no idea how that nonsense of him getting 59 carries as a RB even started. It’s the right business decision to eliminate that.

I do think him wanting a new deal after only one great season is weird. He needs to do it again. 9ers will do what they do best and ignore this.

I love when whiners think their “clever” nicknames and Eeyore posts somehow elevate them above “most.”
Well, it obviously bothers you so I will have to keep it up.
No one expects the Pats to pull a Miami deal and dump that kind of capital. But listening to Kraft, to Groh and watching the league dynamics, we really don’t know what might happen this off-season.
Since when does what the League does impact what this team does?
Why would I tell you that you were wrong? Show me where I’ve said anything that disagrees with this.
So if you agree with me, then what's the problem?

So not keeping Brady at the age of 43 is the same as trading Babe Ruth at the age of 24...got it. No one gives AD anymore about Brady other than Tommyites like you and others. The rest of us have moved on.

If this is the bar that you're going to be judging all future patriot quarterbacks on, you should probably stop being a patriot fan, because the rest of your life is going to be nothing but disappointment. The amount of stuff that had to go right for the patriots run with brady is so god damned ****ing ridiculous, and its NEVER going to happen in the NFL again. period, end of sentence.

Dawg you're on every Brady topic that there is lol

Shows a lot of character on your part. Almost as much as the wit displayed.

The team does a lot more zigging and zagging than people give them credit for. Since when does the team dominate Free Agency.
So if you agree with me, then what's the problem?
You tell me - you're the one with superiority problem.

Mac will never be Brady and that's fine because nobody else will either.

Josh Allen wasn't JOSH ALLEN until he got Diggs. If there's a chance getting Deebo has the same impact on Mac then let's get him.

These days you absolutely need stud receivers to win a super bowl. The formula that Bill used to win from 2001-2004 (strong defense, strong running game, above avg. QB play) won't work anymore.

Shows a lot of character on your part. Almost as much as the wit displayed.
Well you started with the personal attacks, so stop being a crybaby and don't dish it out if you can't take it.
You tell me - you're the one with superiority problem.
How am I supposed to explain to you why you're acting like an arsehole? Only you know why you're acting like an arsehole here.

Oh, don't give me your thinly-veiled nonsense.

"Unlike most, I can impartially analyze how the Patriots behave historically and use that to make rational projections about future transactions."

That is a personal attack.
