OT: Arians steps down as Tampa HC

BA is the polar opposite of BB so ppl view him as a fool. His career win % .624 (ARI - .619; TB - .633) is pretty good. Two time COY & SB winner. He's got a great reputation amongst the players and is well regarded in the league. He always promoted diversity and was loyal to his coaches. He's definately a character and God knows we need those around. Retiring from coaching at 69 is not unusual.
He clearly has a better record without Brady than BB does.

Whatever Brady says is what is happening. The head coach is fired. You do not think the offensive coordinator can be fired? C'MON MAN.

HC retired. Passed the torch (w/ Glazers nod) to his friend, the DC to give him a chance to get a HC gig w/ a good team. It's up to Bowles to decide if he keeps Leftwich at OC since it's now his staff. He will, since there's no reason not to.

You're giving Brady too much credit thinking that he's the GM/HC, OC & QB. Come on Man.

I thought all the talk of Brady going over BB's head and lobbying for BOB, etc was just clickbait BS.
This seems to give that some traction. Basically, Brady forced Ariens out.

Tedy Bruschi said something didn't smell right about the whole retirement/unretirement thing.
Seems like leverage to me.

You are so naive. You think Brady retired and unretired too? There was a power struggle, Brady won. That is life. Things happen. If Brady had lost, he would have stayed retired. Arians did not want AB. Brady wanted AB, AB got hired. No different. Brady calls the shots. You believe the outward face everyone presents?

Read the article by Hurley in the previous post and then you can remove your Ughs. Haha. Too funny.

I mean do you have a shred of evidence to support any of this or just conjecture?

Not saying your wrong but this is what the Mike Reiss of Tampa is reporting

Arians just sent out a statement. It’s not health related. Brady coup’d him.

Arians quote from the link: "I’d rather see Todd in position to be successful and not have to take some [crappy] job."

The unspoken "like the Jets", though.

Brady winning a Super Bowl with Todd Bowles as head coach would be quite the accomplishment.
I don’t think it will be much more an accomplishment than won one with Arians. I think it might be even easier. Bowles will not interfere in the offense. He will let Brady and Leftwich do what they want

Stroud is the Tampa bay mouth piece like Reiss is the Patriots mouth piece. Do we really except the Bucs to come out and say : « yeah we push Bruce out because Brady wanted too ». It was the same in 2017 when the patriots mouth pieces said there was no rift between Brady in Bill. That was wrong.

Like we say with Bill, don’t watch what they say but watch what they do. It’s pretty clear that there was a power battle between Arians and Brady. I think it is also why Arians was quick throwing AB out. He wanted to show Brady who was the boss.

BA, Licht, Brady, Glazers all lying and conspiring to cover up the coup. Funny thing is BA is still in the building. Weird coup.

In an unpaid position. I'm sure he'll hold a lot of sway.

Arians says he is retiring next February. Between now and then he has a no salary front office job . This is how it works. Brady is pulling the strings, Arians is not hand-picking anything. The new Bucs head coach is the old defensive coordinator.

Q: Who will be the new Bucs offensive coordinator?
A: Who Arians hand picks? NO
A: Who Bowles, the new head coach, appoints? NO
A: The guy Brady tells Bucs' ownership to hire? YES

Why on Earth would they move on from Leftwich?

I like Arians the person going to mis him and his Kangool hats.

I called this months ago. Glazer was brave enough to let Brady run the entire organization. God bless him.
I forgot about the Leprechaun Malcolm Glazer.

Drama is starting to follow Brady along like a shadow.. now I am reading that Brady knew he was leaving when he unretired...

Is the NFL becoming the NBA where stars are recruiting other stars to come play for this years version of their "Dream Team"?? Hope not because if it does suckville is right down the road..

Too bad Brady didn't have that power here.
