If Browns keep Baker, they'll have $29M in cap hit for QBs.

They'll have to keep him if no one wants him at that salary because his salary is fully guaranteed. There would be no sense in cutting him when you have to pay him either way.

I would be surprised if some team didn't at least send a 6th rounder or something. Feels like negotiations via media.

All depends on if they need the roster slot..

Sure, but I can see a QB controversy ensuing if Baker starts (Watson suspended) and goes 5-1 for example. Obviously, Watson is the guy but you know the fans and media would be all of over this. Browns, lol.

Looks like Mac would like Pats to sign OBJ. Hmm

The Browns problem is that they have burnt the bridge with Baker and the most logical landing spot is Pittsburgh. Obviously the Browns won’t trade him there. But if they cut him, he can sign for the vet minimum and the Browns are on the hook for the rest of the 18 mil.

They might have to pull an Osweilder type trade, eat some salary and move him to someplace outside their division.

Odell tore his Achilles a month ago and y’all think he’s gonna some difference maker this season

I think there will be a sure fire WR I don't think the value for CB will be the same its' s Stronger WR Draft especially at the Top.

Also with the salaries of WR these days I think you want to draft a guy and have him on a rookie contract than having to pay these rates

He tore his ACL, much shorter recovery than an Achilles, still I doubt he is ready to start the season.

Julio Jones isn't getting anything but a playing time incentivized contract

Not surprised. He was part of the locker room drama surrounding OBJ and the way he was being blasted in CLE, wasn’t he?

Nor sure that the Steelers are the most logical spot. They could add Mayfield and have him duke it out with Trubisky to see which one can be the leader. They could convert Salary to SB for TJ Watt and then for Mayfield if he beats out Trubisky.

I could see the Giants, Panthers, and Seahawks all looking at Mayfield. I was thinking the Saints might be in as well, but then saw the contract they gave Winston.
