As the cap goes up, do you think that the QB position should take up a higher percentage? If so, why?
It's not a matter of what I think. It's a matter of what NFL GMs think. And they clearly think that QBs should. In fact, it could easily be argued that the QB is the single most important player on a team so they should be paid as such.

There are no true WR#1 left and best available are OBJ and AB. So unless the Pats bring in a WR#1 via trade (unlikely) they'll have to get one via the draft.

Given all the WR moves and high cost in the last 2 weeks, I expect WRs to be flying off the boards. This will make it riskier to pick a receiver beyond the first round. I was against picking one in the 1st round. Not so sure anymore.
I have been saying this even before the Hill to Miami Trade: WR will be better value than CB @ 21. I think the better CB's are going Top 16 hope we do our homework on the second tier CB's with upside.

If there isn’t a sure fire 1 receiver, corner or D line at our pick then I’m all for trading down with a team trying to grab their QB.

I think there will be a sure fire WR I don't think the value for CB will be the same its' s Stronger WR Draft especially at the Top.

If OBJ goes back to Cleveland, who’s left? Jarvis Landry?
OBJ isn't going to be ready to start the season. That means he's going to have to miss a minimum of 6 games (RES/PUP). I just don't see teams willing to fork out $15M+ for a guy missing 1/3 of the season, who will have no training camp, and has to learn a new play-book. The Rams still have Ramsey and Kupp whom they could do Salary Conversions on, but that would take 3-4M from upcoming Cap years.. The Rams only have 31M available in 2023 with just 39 players signed.

I feel like the second thru fourth round is the most valuable in the draft.
You know Bill starts treating the 5th thru 7th round like UDFAs we see it every year.
There is a guy in the fifth who was thought to be a third and we watch the Patriots trade down and trade out of the end of the draft instantly.
Trading their 5th for a 4th next year.

You seem to be confusing trades and free agency
You seem to be missing where these guys are going to these teams then signing extensions immediately upon arrival. They are forcing trades from MVP level QBs knowing they are going to Tua or Carr or whoever.

I'm curious why people here give the Incarcerated Bob of the Pats beat the time of day? He's a wannabe with no sources or hook ins to the NFL let alone the Pats.

Since the tweet's been deleted, who was it?

Those other Teams have a Three year competitive plan too they ain't going anywhere and Mac ain't the best QB in the AFC young or old. This was a Better FA year for WR's and we passed on all of them because we're so great at Drafting them. I thought we would have signed a proven vet and bring a rookie along but I guess that proven vet is already on the roster.
Who were all these great FA receivers this year?

OBJ still out there. Williams stayed home. Godwin stayed home. Gallup stayed home. AB is a nutcase.

Hill was a trade.
Adams was a trade.

So, Robinson? Kirk?

Whoopdiedoo!

Meyers and Bourne fill the category of proven vets already on the roster. Add in Henry at TE and we are ok in the proven vet category. We certainly could use a star but the prices for that this year and most years is nuts. I'm all for taking another crack in the first or second RD.

It would be fun if Bill surprised us and went after Adams or something but no need to beat your head against the wall waiting for it.

Chark going to Detroit is one: I am sure if BB could do it over again he would have paid somebody better than Agholor his current cap number. But of course he's not going to tell me or you that. My point is and some would agree it looks like we Over paid for an Average WR and you know who he is. Meyers and Bourne two 5Mill tops Receivers vastly outplayed him. Maybe you see upside for Agholor going forward but I see a downward trend. We'll see who's right when the season starts don't be afraid to call me out I love me some crow soup.

I am of the belief we need to think like AL Davis speed is what is winning in the NFL.
Maybe Al Davis wasn’t as crazy as we all thought.
He was ahead of his time.

I like Tyquan Thornton in the second and I think KC will be all over this so we may need to trade down and take him in the first.

You can’t coach speed and watching his tape he reminds me of a more explosive Robbie Anderson.
He has the same lean built and long arms.

Real happy that Meyers craved out a little nitche for himself in this League. But he's a slow lumbering receiver who doesn't get open quickly also he can't beat you on one play. Opposing WR's from Miami and Buffalo will be doing alot of those things Meyers can't do but we'll see. P.s. we're a very slow Offense if you haven't noticed.

Do you like Christian Watson he reminds me of Raw Randy Moss the Boy runs and everybody else seems like they are walking.

Never in my life have I witnessed someone with more acute “grass-is-greener” syndrome. Chark had one 1k season, sure, and he did it on 50+ more targets than Agholor got last year.

Other that that, meh.

And I bet from your Beli kool aid drinking point of view both Bourne and Meyers are better than DJ Chark?

Chark. A guy who has yet to play a full season of football and missed all but 4 games last season with an ankle injury that required surgery. You call him a "great receiver"? Umm.. No. He's above average at best. He's on a 1 year prove it deal.

It's funny how you gave me an "UGH" over the fact that I mentioned the inconsistent O-line play we saw last season. Something that DIRECTLY affected Mac's ability to go down field. It's also interesting that you ignored the chart that showed that Agholor has some of the top speed in the league. Maybe (hypothetical coming) Agholor does better this year with Jones more comfortable throwing the deep ball. Maybe Agholor is traded to a team that sees the $10M as right where the market is for a player of his caliber.

I had hopes of Agholor to the Raiders, but there is no place for him now that they have Parker and have signed Mack Hollins and Demarcus Washington. Adding Parker to Renfrow and Waller was a huge coup for the Raiders.

Teams who could benefit from having Agholor include the Packers who just have Randall Cobb currently. Colts could use someone since Campbell hasn't done much. The Bears are HURTING for WR having no one other than Darnell Mooney.

And I bet from your Beli kool aid drinking point of view both Bourne and Meyers are better than DJ Chark?

Chark - 23 missed games in 4 years. 147 receptions for 2042 yards. 55.5% catch rate. 15 career TDs

Bourne - 6 missed games in 5 years. 192 receptions for 2569 yards. 66.7% catch rate. 16 career TDs (all in the last 4 years). {16 rec/257yards as a rookie) Bourne caught 78.6% of the passes thrown to him by Jones on 70 targets. Which says the Patriots need to include Bourne more in the offensive game plans.

So, yes, Bourne is better than Chark. He's on the field more and has increased his yards/game each year. Unlike Chark who has been on a downward trend since his sophomore year.
