OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

The best choice if he wants to choose a team no one will pay attention to.

It would seem like a bad choice from almost every angle, but he grew up there.

It would be a write off year in 2022, especially if he gets suspended. But the cap money available next year, per OTC, even with a $46m hit for Ryan, which would obviously be replaced by whatever Watson's hit would be:

Team Cap Space: $94,181,928

Massage parlors are way better in Hotlanta than NC or NO, so there's that.

Tom Brady has brought “tens of millions of dollars” in commercials to Tampa

Tom Brady will make less than $11 million this year. Will the Bucs address the situation, or does Brady prefer to play out his current deal? Will Tom Brady get a raise? - ProFootballTalk

Of course they will give him a new contract and likely add a year for salary cap purposes, just like after the 2021 season. Serves two purposes. One, creates space to sign more players. Two, he can honestly say he’s under contract for two years so don’t ask about retirement.

Rams got Robinson. Damn.

But thinking about it a bit it isn’t a luxury signing for them, their 2 and 3 receivers both tore their ACLs during the season, one in mid February, so they really needed someone good NOW. Woods will probably be ready for week 1 but OBJ will be aiming for like November. And who knows if they’ll be 100% right away.

They lost two key pieces too in Whitworth and Miller

OBJ is a UFA.

OBJ is a UFA.

True but he was absolutely vital to them for the second half of last season and in the playoffs. Rams were set to win running away in the Super Bowl until he got hurt and immediately after that the offense disappeared. So they need a replacement.

OBJ, unless he gets a big offer, his best bet is to remain a FA until fully rehabbed during the season, then join a contender that has a need at Wr.

That way he can showcase his skills again into the post season then hopefully get one last payday

That's why they signed Robinson. He is replacing OBJ. Had OBJ not gotten hurt he probably gets the contract Robinson just got

The main forum is not going to be able to handle the reality that the Pats are now definitively a middling team for the foreseeable future. No quick rebuild, now prime rookie QB window. It’s Wild Card is the goal.

It's the new NFL. Stafford is not great no matter what anyone says. He is very good when things get simplified for him so don't send the house to him. Now they will have 2 threats and he should again throw for a million picks but also 40 tds. DON'T SEND THE HOUSE. He knows where to go when he sees more people coming and not enough in coverage. The coaches make sure of it.

Honestly the Rams have to be the favorites in the NFC at this point. They are loaded at every position.

Hell, I'd even put them ahead of Buffalo.

Depends how you define "Great". Is he as good as Mahomes, Rodgers, or Brady? No.

But it's not as if he's an average or good QB.

I'd say very good.

He had a Joe Flacco playoff run. Lets not lose our minds. He doesn't win games, in fact, he often throws them away.

Stafford is a better QB than Flacco. Great playoff run or not.

Obviously they are good enough to win a SB with him.

But...he does have limitations.
