Jones Should Be Greatly Improved In 2022

I see the Bills getting better without Daboll, simply because they'll have a OC more committed to running the ball. I'm presuming.

What stood out to me in the KC game is how little practice the Bills had in their running game. Singletary wouldn't know a cutback lane from a bowling lane.
Singletray might be a lousy/mediocre running back

There is no OC and no QB coach.

It is asking a lot for the team to bring in both, and have them learn the system so well that they greatly improve the performance of a 2nd year quarterback.

Oh yeah? That post can’t compete with the genius behind all the Professors here trying to shelf the greatest quarterback of all time back in the first four weeks of the 2014 season, huh?

“Winning with Matt Cassel,” etc?

“Brady not being bigger than the team” as some bull**** to justify getting rid of him for Jimmy G?

We must have been reading different forums.

Josh Allen and Buffalo are far and away the class of the AFC East right now. The defense carried the Patriot season and the defense is ****ing old. There’s promising quarterbacks all over the AFC making noise and the most delusional people imaginable are talking themselves into Mac Jones being the guy lol
Well I wish your team well. Bills fans have been a very loyal group during a LONG stretch of bad times. You deserve some good times. I would have rooted for them to win it all...IF they had gotten out of divisional week.l. But I guess lasting one more week than the Pats IS like winning the superbowl for Bills fans, Am I right?

So long as he:
-Works with a throwing coach
- Listens to Doc's / Trainers
- continues to study film/playbook
- Rests

We should be a stronger , more comfortable Mac. If we gets a playmaking receiving option he'll do damage.

Our fanbase is literally oblivious to what makes a good quarterback, who is a good quarterback, and who will be a good quarterback.

Bunch of us wanted to move on to Jimmy G / were happy to move from Tom / thought Tom was finished from like 2012 on / entertained Matt Cassel discussions after 2008 / now think Mac Jones is a franchise quarterback.

Spoiler alert: Josh Allen and Mac Jones will never be in the same category. Buffalo is going to continue to get more solid, more reliable, more dominant, because with their quarterback, you don’t have to pretend. You can literally just watch it happen, on television, right in front of you, in real time.
Mac Jones is a much smarter QB than Josh Allen though. Mac can improve his arm strength. Allen can't get smarter.
You just watched the GOAT beat out Bledsoe (a guy with superior physical tools) for the starting job and outclass every QB in the league for two decades (many of whom had better physical tools) on his way to dominating the league through sheer will, competitiveness and work ethic. But somehow in your mind, Mac will never be better than or as good as a guy who's won nothing. Yet here you are to lecture everyone on what makes a good QB. Right after ignoring what happened here for 20 years.
Wow.

I mean, most QBs perform worse under pressure. Look at the GOAT when he faced the Rams front during 1st half. Mahomes runs around like Richard Pryor with his hair on fire. Herbert's numbers drop when pressured. At least Allen can gain yards with his legs.
Pretty sure Tom was the best QB in the league against pressure. The key to disrupting him is to get home with just three. Preferably up the middle.

Weren't you Bill's fans talking about a dynasty? How's that working out for you?

My kids will often see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear. I know that I as a fan have been guilty of this many times...with that said, I still think Mac can be a very good, if not great QB in this league. He will never have the physical gifts that Allen does so that category is out for sure...but the category of championship caliber QB is still open i believe. (or do i just want to believe that?)
Look at the SuperBowl. No running QBs to be found.

That's kind of a depressing way to look at it. I guess I'll point out that Kansas City bounced them and Cincinnati bounced the Chiefs, so I wouldn't say it's impossible for any team to pull off an upset on any given Sunday when the games are played in January. So it still might be fun to see how things go next season ;)

Patriots fans opinions of Allen are incredibly skewed. He killed us this year and he did in KC too (before Mahomes outdid him), but I watch the guy for 17 games because I live in Buffalo.

If he had to face the Cincy front, the Rams front, the 49ers front, he's a different QB. Don't be so impressed because you saw him against Wise Jr., Guy and a hurt Barmore, a one legged Hightower and a molasses slow Bentley.

I'm more worried that he'll dominate us because we can't build a decent defense than I am in awe of him potentially running over the league. He's not going to do it. He gets flustered and becomes incredibly inaccurate when pressured.

I'll only say that KC's D is not the best barometer either.

I do give Allen a lot of credit, one of the top QBs in the league, but I would--even today--take Mahomes and Herbert over him in the AFC.
It's not like he lost to the worst team in football this year Oh, wait

Hilariously bar evaluators sometimes. What part of 68% is bad for a rookie QB? Sad that Mac Jones gets compared to Brady in his prime or Josh Allen in his 4th year. I’m not saying he is going to be great but jc, give him another year or 2 before claiming stupid bs. He performed very well for a rookie and I’m not sure some of you can accept that?

What! Did I miss something?
Google it. He posted some racist garbage. He gets a pass because he was a teenager at the time. Everyone knows that it is impossible to know right from wrong when you are 15. Plus he's white and an athlete, so it's cool. He didn't do anything serious like knock out his girlfriend in an elevator, protest oppression and murder or possibly know about some football maybe being very slightly deflated.

Agree.
Much of Mac's improvement will have to come from his own efforts. He seems driven to me, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Ok, pats fans need to stop thinking that just because Brady was here that any Qb that comes in will be Brady. This notion of Well in 2000 Brady was this and this so that means Mac will be the goat. He will be what he is, whatever that is, he has nothing to do with Brady in any way shape or form. What Brady did has zero bearing on what Mac will do.

Yeah it's unfair to Mac just have to let him develop and see how it goes. I'm extremely optimistic with his first season

I'm a Patriots fan...since 1960. I have no "notions".
. I don't really give 2 shyts if they suck the next five years, I'll still be here..biatching and moaning for sure but....I'm a Patriots fan. I'm amazed by a lot of you "fans" that don't even have any conception of the dastardly deed perpetrated on US, Patriots fans, by Ben Dreith. THAT tested every Patriots fan's loyalty and WE came through with flying colors. We were ALWAYS treated with disdain and mockery throught the 70's ,80's, and 90's. I'll tell you all this for a FACT....jerkoffs used to call our fanbase lousy frontrunners because we had season where only 20,000 showed up for a game. Well, THAT is complete BS. I sat through 2-14 seasons, through broken stadium urinals and pizz beer Schaeffer, sitting on metal benches in Section 206...as we braved thunderstorms and lightning and soaking rain and snow...THE SAME GROUP OF PATS FANS!!!! 50 to 60 of us...EVERY season...EVERY game..FOR DECADES! Lot 17 right on Rt1...never an enemy fan that wasn't totally floored by OUR tailgates....you people have no idea. You want to know why I always denigrate Barfalo fans and their atomic wings and table diving tailgates? We Pats fans that showed up at 9am every game for decades ,WE put on tailgates that made magazines for Chrissakes. Steamship round, boiled lobster and butter, shellfish and shrimp by the basket full...ribs, steaks, chops ,mega bowls of potato and macaroni salads...and ice cold KEGS of beer as well as iced barrels of Heineken or Beck's...I personally entertained Dolphin and Jet fan friends of mine year after year and no one ever didn't show up year after year. The people I was associated with in Lot 17/Section 206 were all diehard, professionals and generous beyond any other fanbases' possible understanding.

Those days are gone forever, obliterated by Krafty Bob's lust for control and increasing his bottom line...as is his right...but don't EVER talk down to ME about being some idiot that doesn't understand the whims and vagaries of pro football. I'll be a Pats fan until I die.

Daboll was reamed out by McDermott. Things weren't hunky dory between the two. McDermott had been having problems with Daboll for more than a year. It was a running concern on local radio.
