Rapoport, Schefter: Josh McDaniels, Dave Ziegler hired by Raiders for HC/GM Positions

My guess is the 2022 Patriots will be better than the 2022 Raiders but still lose to them.
What’s Belichick‘s record against former coaches? I feel like he loses to them pretty often to be honest but I dunno

Wheels are greased. Fat Matt takes over Ziegler's role on his way to GM position. Little Steven will become HC. It's destiny.
I don't see mullet boy getting it at all

Fat Matt is in house
Forgot about Patricia. Ugh. Feels cruddy now but maybe a few years washes away the bad rep from Detroit. He seemed to be respected when he was in NE by the players.

Like it or not he's the most qualified in-house candidate.

Note I said in house.

Obviously It's a must to get the OC right for Mac's development. Wonder if Doug Pedersen would take on the OC role?

Whoever we bring in to run the offense, I hope they can convince bb to bring in a really good intermediate zone receiver to help out jones.

I would guess that there will be no person actually given the title of Offensive Coordinator in 2022, based on past history - unless the Pats rehire Bill O'Brien. I think more likely Ivan Fears will be the de facto OC, and handed the title in 2023.

Assuming that they promote from within there are few other choices.

Current Staff, Offense:
RB - Ivan Fears
WR - Mick Lombardi
WR - Troy Brown (also KR)
OL - Carmen Bricillo
OL - Cole Popovich
TE, FB - Nick Caley
QB/QC - Bo Hardegree

Question is which of any of these guys go to Josh’s staff?

Good luck Josh, competing with Mahomes and Herbert is no easy task. The whole league is going through a complete makeover.
Maybe Rodgers too

My gut tells me he has a rep as being challenged on the offensive side of the ball
Think how much better his rep would be if those morons had listened to him and drafted Herbert instead of Tua

Belichick seems to prefer his coaching staff to be promoted from within, but with the other executive positions he seems to have no issue at all with hiring somebody from outside, such as Mike Lombardi.

If I'm BOB, I don't come back to the Pats without a handshake agreement that he's Bill's successor
