BB awarded NFL Executive of the Year

Well-deserved

Clearly you are angry.
Recognizing that your whining is about the most successful organization in the league doesn’t make anyone a shill it just points out you don’t know what you are talking about.
Ok Andy.
The Patriots have not been close to the best organization in football over the past 3 years but you just keep telling yourself that because the Ringz.

So is this a lifetime achievement award? He went out and spent $165 mil and missed on many of the those guys. Draft was good not spectacular. Jones was sitting there at 15. I would have thought the Rams GM would have gotten it for Stafford, Miller and OBJ.

You really don’t have the slightest clue about how difficult it is to rebuild a team after having a dynasty, let alone a 20 year dynasty. The Steelers went dry for years after their 70’s dynasty, as did the Cowboys and 49 era after their respective dynasties. Belichick has managed to make the Patriots contenders again just two seasons after ending the greatest dynasty in NFL history, yet tools like you pretend to know better and act like it’s no big deal. Stick to fantasy football, you might be able to say something meaningful that way.

1) were not contendèrs with the top teams in the conference
2) this "rebuild" which has really been a retooling couched as a rebuild is due to Bill's crapping drafting for years.

For about 50 years of service.

That's a lot different than guaranteeing HALF of THAT to one player for five years (JJ Watt).

Are you kidding? Look at the TE contracts and the contract for Agahlor. These are backoaded and not easy to get out from under. This is what happens when you overpay in the first week of FA. I mean as you say, he had to do it because of all the crappy drafts prior but that hardly warrants executive of the year when he didn't play our young LBs in favor of a decrepit Hightower and signing a retread in Collins. And also, how is he not dinged for the awful trade of Gilmore that netted us a 6th round pick next year?
Agholor is paid like a number 2 WR, which is what he is.

Henry and Smith will not be anywhere near the top of the TE money by year 3 - nowhere near, when the many rookies come off their initial deals.

12.5 for a middling TE (and Henry is better than that, hopefully Smith will be - the talent it there) will be NOTHING in 2023.

What team added more successful free agents than that?
You also left out KVN, Karras, Brown (in a trade)
Your misses are an embellishment.
Godchaux played the most snaps of any DL
Adams was a guy signed for camp competition at almost no cost
Anderson was injured
Smith and Agholor played a lot, do you think the team would have been better with asiasi and Harry taking their snaps?
We saw what happened when Harry took Agholor's snaps. It wasn't pretty.

Congrats BB and deserved, as an aside, **** the predictable detractors. Usual suspects of course.

Whose angry? I was stating why the award should have gone to the Rams which others have noted too.
Your last sentence is so incredibly typical of organizational shills.
The Rams are a good organization that didn't need a rebuild in 2021. They went to the divisional round last year. They added th epieces to put them over the top - we'll see if they get there.

They are also $10m OVER the cap for 2022.

They have been a strong contender for years running. McVay is a good coach.

The Exec of the Year was a no-brainer this season: Bill deserved it, both for this year and for what his maneuvering has done for the team for the next few seasons. They should be much improved next year over this year, as the few remaining holes are clear to see and as Mac develops.

They've now got a very solid middle class (second contract - or third is after franchise/prove it) of players in their prime.

You said 2015, that’s 7 years. Do you deny they have been the best since then?

Bill's crappy drafting since then (2015) is why we were in the situation we were in with Brady in 2019 and why we are here right now in the middle of a rebuild with a defense that has a ton of holes and an offense that is void of explosive playmakers.

You didn’t answer the question.

I hope you are doing ok with your loss. Everytime I see your avatar I think of your thread on your wife and hope you are doing better.
there isnt a minute that I dont miss her.

But, maybe you've figured this out, this isnt the place for that.

And knowing that BB won this award has gone sideways up your ass, makes it all the sweeter... when dealing with a loss, one must emphasize the positive things in life.

Gosh. It's just football man. Life is way more important. There is nothing that could ever happen in football that would ever come close to family/friends. I am glad when I see you post here (even if just to harass me) as it can be a great diversion too.

Yes I did. I gave you context. Do you dispute any thing that I wrote?
You didn’t answer the question.
But yes I dispute the general implication of your response that a team that had
-2nd highest rate of scoring per possession
-2nd highest rate of not being scored upon per possesssion
-6th most points allowed
-2 snaps fewest points allowed
- made the playoffs

Is devoid of talent.

I never said it was devoid of talent. Reading comprehension is your friend.

Maybe you don't realize, or maybe you do ... If you have cause for comment regarding my wifes passing or how I am dealing with it, the middle of a thread is not the place. I kindly ask you not to bring it up here again. If anyone wants to know how I am doing, they can always send me a pm.

As for rams gm being an option for gm of the year, he was permanently banned from the award after giving Jared Goff a 4 year 134 million dollar extension in 2019.

Sorry. You got it. Won't mention again in a thread. I just saw the avatar and wanted to check in. Will PM in the future.

Lol - good one about Goff.

Go back to the Tampa Bay forum you disingenuous clown. You're trying mighty hard to make this recent post there a self-fulfilling prophecy:

"I don't think the main form is going to be worth reading for quite some time. That lost to Buffalo coupled with the collapse at the end of the season it's not going to make for very happy posters. Not to mention that the team is not set up salary cap wise to have to fill a lot of holes given how much money Bill spent last offseason."
