OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

There is never going to be a QB who currently exists that will be compared to brady. I mean a Qb that leads all time in wins, superbowls, playoffs, yards, td's and about 30 other records. Its unheard of, there is nothing like it. The only people that would think Rodgers is the goat, think he is the goat now.
Yeah. I mean Brady has lapped the field times 10.

There has not been another modern era team sport player to have all the regular season records and all the postseason records and all the championships. Brady truly is 1:1.

Gonna be rainy and windy in Tampa on Sunday. Not ideal for a passing game but then again Brady can definitely pass in bad weather better than freaking Jalen Hurts.

But can the guys catch it? This will also allow them to get out of 2 high and flood the middle. Remember the NE game?

No Gronk against NE and also in the first game against Philly. Lot harder to shut down the middle now.

#Bucs T Tristan Wirfs became the first offensive linemen in club history to be named first team All Pro today.

Arians said Breshad Perriman (hip) is "full speed." Was a limited participant Thursday. #Bucs

Arians said new WR John Brown "had a lot of recall" of the offense, but hopes to not need him for another week or two. Brown signed to practice squad on Thursday. #Bucs

John Brown had an awesome season two years ago but despite being only 31 failed to make an active roster this season. I don’t understand it.

NE's defense is slightly better than the eagles defense, but there were also a few more factors going on.

SI experts picks for NFC Championship:

Packers over Bucs
Packers over Rams
Rams over Packers
Packers over Cowboys
Packers over Rams
Cowboys over Rams
Packers over Rams

The pessimism for the Bucs has officially reached absurd levels of overreaction. Godwin and Brown are big losses, but the media hawt take tight now is that they have no real shot.

This is the best possible position to be in…completely written off.

The Ringer

Packers over Cowboys
Packers over Cowboys
Packers over Cowboys
Packers over Bucs
Packers over Cowboys
Packers over Bucs
Packers over Cowboys
Packers over Cardinals
Bucs over Packers

So 13 of 16 are picking the Packers to win the NFC…sort of like how the overwhelming majority picked them to beat the Bucs last year. Here’s the final point differential:

Cowboys 172
Bucs 158
Rams 88
Cardinals 83
Packers 79
49ers 62
Eagles 59

As usual, insane media overhype. It’s amazing the Packers have, on average, outscored their opponents by 1.0 ppg more than the “lowly” Eagles, who I don’t believe any of the 16 picked to win one game.

If you remove the Packers horrible NFC North competition, they outscored opponents this year by 16 points total, or their average game was a win by less than 1 ppg. If you remove the Eagles divisional games, they outscored their opponents by 72 points total, or over 4 ppg.

It's pretty close to last year really and it would be fun to compare. It was only after the fact that TB was deemed a super team.

And that's just the NFC. There are 4 AFC teams including the Pats that have a better point differential then the Pack.

Dude is still talking about his freakn toe. I can already hear the excuses next week when they get whipped, but but the toe wasn't 100%.

I know some people have a foot fetish but geesh these media types can't stop writing about it whenever Rodgers cries about his toe.

The Cowboys are losing Sunday. Then the 49ers will beat the Packers AGAIN.

It’s gonna be a Brady Jimmy NFCCG

The Packers beat the 49ers earlier this year.

so much talk lately about Rodgers now being better than Manning. no way. and that’s coming from someone who thinks Manning’s overrated

So Brady has made the TB owners nearly 700 million richer afte 1 year, while he made less than 30 mil. What a steal.

Also the Pat's are the 2nd most valuable franchise at 5 billion. Based on the size of their market, they probably would be around 10th without Brady. Which are the Denver Broncos at 3.75 billion. So he helped make Kraft about 1.25 billion richer too.
Where you can also see a difference is with Belichick's legacy. If Bill didn't have Brady all those years his perceived value would be lower now.
